Bottle at home. Pours a hazy dark orange colour with a medium whipped eggwhite-like off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel, apricot, cloud berries and some spices ans alcohol. The flavour is rich with a lot of malt and alcohol, marzipan, hops, bubble gum and is in general sweet. Has a soft and slick mouth feel, and a light to medium bitterness. A balanced and rich ale, but is pretty easy-drinking.

Sampled @ RBESG 13 Grand Tasting. Yellow to orange colour with a medium white head. Smells sourish, fruity, herbs and spices. Tastes malts, overripe fruits and sweet. Typical boring Belgian taste. Soft carbo, thin to medium body.

75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBESG 2013. Thx! to Ansjelaah. Big surprised that I h ave never had this one actually. Pours hazy amber, creamy white bubbles for a head. Nose is slightly chemical hops, bitter earthly malts with some sugar & sweeter malts. Taste is touch watery hops, sweet caramel, fruity, touch grapefruit with a nice earthly touch, sweet yeast & bitter herbs. Body is creamy but also slightly watery. Not bad but not zenith either. Not exciting but decent within the style.

75cl Bottle at RBESG’13 Grand Tasting. Pale amber colour, white head. Aroma is a bit sweet, amber malts, light floral. Flavour is sweet, amber malts, floral, light bitter earthy finish that saves the beer imo. Light-bodied, quite boring.

Very stable, dense, nearly solid cream-coloured head, leaving shards of lace over deep dark brown beer with orange reflections. Aromatic hoppy nose, with hops that are clearly anything but English, as suggested by the label. Roasted notes too, evidently. Aromas are seriously hampered by the quasi solidifying head. Bitter, roasted, weak coffee, galls/ink. Not very refined. Hints at roasted malts essentialy retronasal getting also a tad peppery. Maybe medium bodied; velvety head, slightly creamy MF overall. "Bland" might be too harsh, "plain" certainly isn’t. Comparing this to the Lion à Plume stout....

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 02/2014
Rather grainy aroma with malt, some butter and hints of grass. Flavour has vegetables, some buttery notes, herbs and hints of grass. Some off‐flavours but not bad for this ABV. Not a premium lager but a (light) Bohemian pilsener.

Pours golden orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of vegetables, metallic notes, yeast and hints of hops. Taste is smooth, fruity and yeasty with notes of vegetables and metallic notes. Finish is slightly hoppy with some hints of spices and exotic fruits. A bit messy and unbalanced.

Bottle @ ansjelah. Today’s reason for a beer is her sister’s birthday. Pitch black with medium brown head. Smells fresh coffee, roasty, dark chocolate, quite lovely. Tastes chocolate, nesquick, roasty, coffee.. Lovely brew. Strong taste even though it has such low abv. Medium body, soft carbo, silky.
