Description
The brewery started with the first brews in 1995 and brought the first beers to the market in 1999. The brewers work according to traditional brewing methods to produce distinctive beers from the noble raw materials of barley malt, hops, water and yeast. The quality of the products is guaranteed by modern equipment in constant evolution and systematic analyzes of every brew in the laboratories of the Abbey Notre Dame d'Orval.

God søtlig lukt med innslag av honning. grumset gulbrun farge. Smaken svarte ikke opp til forventningene etter lukt da det var kaldt. Da temperaturen på ølet sted ble de mye bedre på smak. Dette er et øl som ikke skal servers kaldt.

Black with a thick and lasting tan head. Aroma of dried fruit, licorice, dark chocolate, vineous fruity notes and wine, and a little sharp tannic oak. Dry and slightly tart flavour with fruity and roasted character, including a touch of coffee. A bit thin and with a rather simple aftertaste

Aroma has hay, citrus and some herbs. Flavour has strong herbal notes, grassy hops, some spices, citrus and hints of apricot. A Belgian ale with pils‐like grassy hops.

Flaske hjemme: en underlig aroma av bringebær som er gått ut på dato blandet med litt zalo. Navnet Gypsy Rose er noe misvisende ettersom sigøynere er vanligvis mørkhårede, og denne har helt hvit topplokk. Rose som i rosévin beskriver smak og aroma. En veldig annerledes tripel. Jeg blir ikke noe bedre menneske av å drikke denne, men det er gøy å være på utkikk etter nye opplevelser.

Copper with a thick and lasting off-white head. Aroma of toffee, cherry and dried fruit. Sweetish malty flavour with dried fruit notes. Well balanced, very pleasant beer.

Sampled from bottle thanks to the Bierkoning crew @ Amsterdam. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly roasted, hops, lightly bitter. Dry finish, a bit thin, nice flavor though.

Lett fruktig rar lukt med preg av lys malt, humle, vått korn, tørka frukt, sukker, blomster, gjær, nøtter, grønsaker, parfyme. Fruktig lett beisk smak med preg av lys malt, humle, tørka frukt, sukker, korn, beiskt gras, karamell, våt papp, høy, parfyme. Middels bitterhet som set godt. Dårlig.

330ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Murky apricot coloured body. Remaining, bubbly white head, excellent lacing. Dusty hops and caramel malts to the nose. Well balanced taste of malty sweetness and dry, fruity hops. Hints of plums and apricots. Underlying yeasty fruitiness to the ending. Mostly disguised alcohol. Medium bodied. Likable (at home, Tromsø 09.05.2013).
