75cl Bottle from Brugs Bier Festival 09. Shaken bottle. Hazy golden amber colour, white head. Aroma of ripe fruits, melon, yeast, malts. Flavour is very fruity as well, yeasty, malts, light bitter and slightly alcoholic finish. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Courtesy of SHIG. Pours hazy opaque amber with copper hues and tan head. The aroma is earthy, spicy, roast and pine mixing together with mild grapefruit and black tea. The taste is similar with a pleasing mix of roasted malts, earthiness and malts to go along with a tasty hop bill like pine and citrus. Yum!

75cl bottle shared with Tomaz. pours amber with a nice thick white head. aroma had some interesting notes of what I saw as mint / tobacco leaves, fruits with light toffee. flavors, quite outstanding mix of yeast, wheat sweetness, some fruits; white grapes, some blossom, hop flavors possbly some apricot, fermented fruits with anice lingering yeasty finish.

shared with Shig. pours dark brown, tan head. aroma, yeasty and spicy hops, a lot of the Belgian nose characteristics. flavors, yeasty, chcolate malts and touch of caramel with some earthly notes, light palate, grainy; wheat.

750 ml bottle shared with tarheels86. Deep amber color, medium head, nice breasts. Aroma of caramel, malt and cherries. Taste is heavily spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon. Unimpressive. Label gets it extra appearance points, though.

750 ml bottle at Peiffeschof. Off menu, recommendation of the barman to pair with local goat cheese. Clear maroon with a massive beige head and phenomenal lacing. Aroma of chocolate and butterscotch. Flavor has cocoa powder,dark roasted malts and toffee. Slight bitter finish, but it’s mostly malt.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy amber with foating impurities and an off-white head. Skewed overripe fruit aroma and anise as well. Quite full-bodied, nuts, roasted malts, fruit and all sorts of phenols and by-products. Impressingly unclean, but not necessarily bad. Ends on a anise nose. 130210

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, flowers. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090822]
