Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Dark ruby black colour lasting tan head. Some nutty malty flavour. Smooth in mouth, quite a lot of chocolate. Hides abv well. I rather liked it. Not much hop or spice. A little chewy. But decent definitely. Some dark fruits, raisins.

At 't Lusthof, Denderwindeke. Pours hazy dark brown with a red hue and a foamy, tan head. The aroma contains roasted malt, yeast, nuts, spices, caramel, some dark fruits. It tastes light malty/nutty sweet and light to medium spicy bitter; dry and herbal finish. Medium body, slick/creamy texture, soft carbonation. Cliché brown Belgian beer, but to be preferred over its blond counterpart.

Geproefd met Roelzie1986 in Maastricht bij de gouverneur. Het is een troebel geel bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een zachte wat frisse smaak.
