Deep red - brown beer, almost clear. Residual off white head. Mild honey nose. Creamy malt with a modest dollop of rich honey. Touch of tangy orange marmalade. Creamy malt semi dry finish. Not bad at all!

Slight haze on this light brown beer. No head. Light palate, semi dry. Sugary sweet malt. Caramel and toffee and a little sugared glace fruits. Some alcohol warmth but nowhere near as much as I feared. Finishes semi dry. This will be way too sweet for most but as I have a sweet tooth I didn’t hate this.

Bottle shared, 2008 vintage. Pours clear amber with no head. Aroma of sweet caramel, overripe fruit, and prunes. Flavour is super sweet with no bitterness and alcohol warmth. Given the low ratings I think the aging has helped this beer, but it’s still just sweetness without complexity.

33cl bottle from 08 or 06 from my cellar. No head. Clear amber pour. Ok. Tastes like a turbo pils. The aging helps.

Copper/light red colour. Aroma has some sweet red fruit and a sharp, sour edge. Has a very fine carbonation. Very sweet and sour. Has elements of red fruit like sour raspberries.

Copper, light brown colour. Aroma is grass and sour dough. Flavour has an unpleasant sourness, very yeasty too. Any hop is overpowered from the acidity. Possibly a bad bottle, definitely a drain pour.

Dark golden colour. Very malty aroma, a bit like whiskey. Flavour is also very malty but less complex. The feel is quite creamy although the texture is rather thin. Quite similar to a Scotch Ale but lacking depth and complexity.

Light reddish brown colour. Aroma of bubblegum and yeast. Flavour also like bubblegum with a bit of artificial strawberry flavouring. The yeast gives it a slightly sour edge and this is not pleasant.

Light blond colour and quickly fading head. Fairly plain but refreshing. Only lightly hopped, not very bitter.

Draught @ bierfestival oirschot ’12. Clear pale yellow colour with little to no head. Smells sweet, malty. Tastes sweet, flat, malty. Quite flat carbo, bit boring, thin body.
