Description
Since George and Susannah Bateman opened our independent family brewery in 1874, we’ve been using the best possible ingredients and craft brewing methods to make beers that people love.

Four generations later, and we’re still doing things our own way – and have quite a few more beers to our name.

[Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] A hazy orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is slightly fruity. The flavor contains a lot of lemon and is therefore quite sour, but very pleasant and very fresh. The end is quite dry and has an OK hoppy bitterness, but the body is a little thin.

Cask. Bitter, slightly boring. I guess it is OK for a session beer..........

An orange beer with a very small disappearing white head. The aroma is fruity and the flavor sweet fruity with a good hoppy dry end. A fine bitter without being anything special.

[Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] A black beer with a small brown head. It has practically no aroma, but the flavor is of motoroil, roasted malt, coffee, and hops that gives it a very dry end. A nice beer.

[Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] An amber beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet caramel. The flavor is also sweet caramel with notes of spices and peach, before a very dry hoppy end sets in. A very refreshing summer beer.

[Cask at GBBF 03] An opaque brown beer with a small brown disappearing head. The aroma is nutty with malt notes. The flavor starts on a pretty bitter note followed by a nice maltiness with a little note of roast malt. It ends on a pleasant bitterness. It is a little thin in the palate - probably because of the low alcohol content. All in all an average bitter.

The aroma is very fruity. The color is amber but it has no head. The mouthfeel is soft. The flavor is malty with notes of black currant and apples. It ends on a slight sourness but not much bitterness - rather a dry fruityness. Not my kind of beer.
