Cask at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford Good dark brown malty beer with good hops on the end. Very consistant pint, in fact was having a conversation with phil_l and we think that this beer has not changed much in all the years that it has been brewed and retains its distinctive flavours

Cask at New Inn, Canterbury Orange/caramel in colour with some citric hop and some caramel malt but altogether pretty unremarkable. Good if you wanted to quench your thirst quickly

[Cask at GBBF 2004 - mine was named Summer Rosey Nosey] A hazy amber beer with a small beige head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet with notes of oranges and caramel.

An orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fruit and caramel, while the flavor is sweet malty and slight hoppy note in the end.

Quite aged sample ! Reddish-amber with very slight haze; coffee-cream coloured 1cm head, reasonably stable. Nutty, caramel, raisins, biscuity, woody touch. Sweet taste with an ever so slight sourish edge and a bitterish finish, bit walnutty, cake, and again woody, nearly tannin-like touch. Faraway hops. Medium bodied, slight tartness, even slight adstringency. Well, my sample was pretty old. In fact, I can read "naturally conditioned " which indicates non-pasteurised. No yeast, however. Not 100% convincing, or maybe the style isn’t just my favourite.

Orange/amber.Vaguely lemony with bold, short mouthfeel. Notes of burnt malt leads to a sharp, grassy finish. Unrefined.

Bottle Malt nose, buttery, slight dusty hop. Amber, no head. Honeyish malt, slight nut, no hops detectable. Weak body, dusty exit. Quite boring.

Cask. Sour aroma. Flavour liquorice, sherry and sour. In my opinion the sourness should have been balanced by something sweeter.
