Cask at Fox and Anchor London EC1 15 Sep 06. Dark brown colour. A small white head. Aroma of malt. Hints of fruit in the flavour. A heavy bitter finish. Not great.

Cask @ Volunteer Arms, GBBF 2006. Dark brownish/black colour with a longlasting off-white head. Sweet roasted malty aroma with some hints of caramel. Sweet rosted caramel flavor. Long malty finish with a bitter aftertaste.

Cask @ Market Porter, Borough, London. Copper colour with a small white head. Fruity malty aroma with some hints of caramel. Fruity malty hoppy flavor. Long fruity citrus aftertaste.

Cask handpull at Leading Light, JDW, Faversham. Chestnut colour with thin beige head. Choc aroma, sweetish dry malt. Very malty flavour. Rich fruit as well. Some dryness on end. Not a massive hop presence. Some spice on end. Dry choc malt is excellent. Satisfying beer to wash down breakfast at 11 on a Saturday morning.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 4 Aug) Colour is dark amber with a frothy off-white head. Nose is malty, nutty with dusty hops. Taste starts malty, turns fruitier and ends in a long balanced finish with lots of earthy and dusty hops. Rather dry. Great taste regarding the low abv. Good session beer.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 4 Aug) Colour is dark brown, almost black, with almost no head. Nose is malty, roasted, with some fruity notes of berries. A bit closed. Taste is malty and roasted with notes of coffee, liquorice and citrussy hops in the finish giving it a bittersweet taste. Mainly dry and slightly more bitter than most milds.
