Old rating from 10-08-16 - A gift from a friend who found & brought it back from Thailand of all places. A 330ml bottle with a very simple but smart black & white printed label. Pours a hazy orange amber colour with thin quickly diminishing off-white head that leaves lacing. Aromas of malts, pine, caramel, orange, tea, tropical fruit, hops and citrus. Tastes of a crisp, bitter-sweet, piney resin, peach, caramel, orange peel, slight chewiness and some warming alcohol with a dry medium bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation.

Lichtbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig met iets van hars, wat ananas, graan en gras. Degelijke maar min of meer standard IPA.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of peat, light toasted malt, and soft bready notes. Flavour has a nice smoky whiskey barrel, light sweetness, and toasted malt. Very light on the palate, especially for a high ABV porter, but has a good balance, maintaining high drinkability. Good stuff.

Dark brown. No head. Oily and flat. Light peat smoke on the aroma. On the palate, decent body, with a light fruitiness, and a fair bit of smoke.

Amber. The aroma has a bit of woodiness. Good body, very fruity, that's a bit of a rich cognac here. That fruitiness is quite good, goes together well with the sticky base.

330mL bottle, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma has lots of bready caramel, subtle cognac, and brown sugar. Flavour is somewhat tart – is that the cognac? – with red dark fruits, soft cognac, and brown sugar. The cognac presence is very tempered. Finishes with lightly tart, rich maltiness, but a light body. Very nice.

Darkish amber, pours relatively flat. This is sweetish, sticky, with a decent bourbon character. Medium body, nice sugars but it's got light, drinkable character. A light tannin note in the finish, but this does not come across at all like a bourbon barley wine.

330mL bottle, pours a clear mahogany with a small beige head. Nose has a very nice bourbon character, plenty of brown sugar, and toffee. Flavour is fairly sweet, with lots of brown sugar, caramel, toffee, and bourbon barrels. Nicely rounded, with the bourbon acting more moderately. Big flavours, but quite a moderate body. Excellent.

330mL bottle. Pours dark brown with a white head. Peaty smoke and roasted malts on the nose, a bit of whiskey barrel on the finish. Flavour has peaty smoke, roasted malts, some coffee, light brown sugar. Fairly light on the palate, but still very well-balanced with lots of smoke. Very nice.
