This has a dark brown colour, with no head. On the nose, it's got a toasty, chocolatey character. The vanilla is relatively light on this, again the malts are on the chocolatey side. Good - lighter than expected given the 14%, but decent flavours.

330m bottle, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma is fairly laid-back, with a touch of vanilla, subtle whiskey barrels, and a touch of molasses. Flavour has a nice vanilla character that melds well with the base malts, accentuated by the whiskey barrels, and soft sugars that are mostly fermented out. Really nicely constructed. The body isn’t super thick but there’s great malt depth, and the barrels really add refinement. Excellent.

330mL bottle. Pours black with a minimal white head. Gentle roast, vanilla, and whiskey barrels on the nose. Flavour has a lovely vanilla character, gentle roast, whiskey barrels. The whiskey barrels and vanilla are both well-integrated with the base beer. This is great.
