Bottle from Biernavigatie. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, bitter dark chocolate, espresso, liquorice, with a definite touch of candied dark fruits, marzipan and hops. Flavour is sweet and rather present hoppy roasty bitterness. Body is full. Quite nice with lots of chocolate, coffee, roast, but some fruits and hops as well. Surprisingly bitter.

From tap at Borefts 2017. Aroma is big chocolate with roasted malt, chocolate cake, boozy barrel notes, cognac, and notes of liquor. Flavour is fairly sweet with some roasty bitterness in the finish. Full bodied. Beautiful BA variety of Verdoemenis, some lovely barrel notes.

From tap at Borefts 2017. Quite alcoholic with a big booze sting, then follows a dark chocolate malt and caramel aroma. Flavour is sweet with warming booze. Body is full. Quite sharp, but fun.

From tap at Borefts 2017. Aroma is syrupy cherry with cough syrup, lots of spices, candied notes, marzipan, ginger bread. Flavour is rather sweet with slight booze burn. Body is full. Okay, but not really my thing.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, chocolate syrup, some chillies, dried dark fruits, molasses, some liquorice and alcohol. Flavour is sweet and moderate bitter with some mild chili burn. Body is above medium, fairly sticky in the mouth. Quite sweet and syrupy, boozy, not the smasher I had hoped for. Nice balanced chillies though.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweetish malt with soft hoppy notes, herbs & weeds, and a very modest fruity profile. Flavour is medium sweet with a mild bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. A very modest bit disappointing sweet IPA, I liked last years much better, even though this series in general seems to have a rather restrained hop character.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is caramel malt, wood, vanilla, yeast, red fruits, wine, toffee, dried fruits, raisins, with vinous notes. Flavour is sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is medium to full. A nicely vinous woody Quad with lots of dried fruits and toffee malts. Good one.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is smoke, malt, caramel, herbal earl grey tea, hops, with some resinous notes. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Interesting beer, not entirely sold on the combination of smoke + tea + hops in the sense that I won't be drinking this regularly, but not bad at all.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt with caramel, dark bread, dark fruity notes, banana, clove, touch of roast, liquorice and mild chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium. I had hoped for something a little more refined, this is fairly thin and not entirely convincing.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is strong mint with lemon zest, medicinal herbs, peppermint, yeasty notes, and green leaves. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and mildly bitter. Body is medium. Not to my liking, it lacks a Saison character and has way too much mint and herbal notes for my taste.
