Huge tan head over almost black beer, retreating very lacey. Melanoidins, nutty, bit of dark malts, and in the very end just a whiff of capsaicine. Taste is even a bit smoky, tobacco, whiffs of chocolate, dark bread, breadcrust and capsicum. The heat only arrives very late and keeps restrained. Well bodied, ditto carbonation, slick to almost oily, chewy. I will never be a fan of chilli flavoured beer, but this one is so balanced that I can enjoy it.

Small white to transparant head over hazy orange beer. Oxydized, biscuit, sweet cookies with 'citrus' filling. Slight sourish hint, immediately followed by pure speculoos. Doesn't smell nor taste of kafir lime at all, and I also miss the Gose minerality. Good carbonation, slick. Finish gets rid of the oxydation, and finally gets more convincing citrus in the aftertaste. It's obvious. Menno's gone.

Bottle from Flink Gegist, Delft. Aroma is fruity hops, juicy tropical fruits, citrus, orange, passion fruit, herbal-ish Mosaic, apricot, malt, tangerine, some pine resin and dankness. Flavour is sweetish with a firm bitter finish. Body is medium. Very juicy tropical fruits basket IIPA, has that NE dankness and a bold bittersweet flavour. A treat!

From tap at Planet Oedipus ’17. A bit salty with an aroma of light seaweed, dark chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, soy sauce. Medium sweet and fairly bitter. Full bodied. Well-realised and fairly rich ’Umami Stout’, very nice.

From tap at Planet Oedipus ’17. Aroma is heavy on the chocolate and roasted malt, wood, mild peat, with relatively subtle whisky and more big roasted notes. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Body is full. Lovely Whisky BA Stout with not too overwhelming barrel notes.
