10.11.2013, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly fresh, wet grain, flowers, weeds, hay, yeast, hints of citrus. Taste is slightly sweet, wet grain, hay, yeast, flowers, weeds, sugar. Little bitterness, slightly watery mouthfeel. Just another golden ale. But, I’d rather drink this one in the sun when at Santorini rather than any other crappy pale lager thoug.

Bottle shared at CBC Islington during the Ryan Tasting - big thanks to Josh for lugging this all the way from Greece. It’s very decent beer with light piney bitterness, bready malts and orange. Good work, Greece.

Aroma of tropical fruits, lots of hops, light sweaty, grapefruit, floral. Flavour is smooth, lots of sweet tropical fruits, mango, grapefruit, nice floral sweetness, light malty, good hoppy bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. Very nice.

33cl Bottle from the brewery, enjoyed on the beach. Murky amber colour, white head. Aroma of hops, soft sweet caramel and nice floral notes, hint of toast, some sweaty yeast. Flavour is much the same, with a nice floral hoppy finish and some earthy yeast. Light-bodied. Nice and easy drinker.

Head: off-white, medium, creamy, good retention. Colour: amber, cloudy. Aroma: tropical fruit, mango, tangerine, some sharp yeast or horse blanket. Taste: tropical fruit, citrus, moderate bitter and zesty finish. Good one.

Head: white, creamy, mediuem, good retention. Colour: golden, hazy. More yeast at the bottom.
Aroma: floral hops, but very weak. Some lemon too. Taste: moderate floral hops, a bot of malt, green apple bitterness, some fruit too. It’s more like a pilsener, than an ale. Though, not a bad one.

Bottle from friend Bob following his holiday to Santorini, cheers Bob!. I decided to retire from rating back in October 2012, however will occasionally rate when people have been kind enough to pass on beer or if I just fancy it. Consumed Monday 3rd December 2012 Pours a little murky, orange amber in colour with white frothy head. Aroma is citrus, not sure what I can pick up, sort of a combination of a few citrus fruits, but there is some sweet orange flavours flooding through. Mid bitterness, nose is quite fresh, little zingy even with freshly peeled citrus fruits. Overall a pretty good but not quite great beer, and I guess a welcome addition to the locality. 33cl Bottle from Wine Story, Nikis street, Athens. Straight from the bottle. Aroma is sweet, fruity malts, spice, yeast. Flavour is malty, bread, yeast, wort, light hops, yeasty bitter finish, fizzy. Light bodied. Not as hoppy as I hoped, this was more like a spicy yeasty Belgian ale.

Growler 100cl. w. swing top.Murky matt medium orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, orange - citrus, greasy hop. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy with a long duration, caramel, hop bitter. IMO a bit messy and unclean. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120515]
