Bottle shared in NH. Pours mostly clear gold with a foamy, white head. Sweet with some tart juicy notes, peach, lemon, light white raspberry. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly tart, quenching finish. Solid.

FOAM draught, 8/13/22. 2019 vintage. Lightly chill-hazed, pale brass with hints of rust. Small, white head. Fruity lactic cultures mix with rustic, pale malts and fruity Brett as gin botanicals show forth in great moderation. Soft and deep, slow-to-emerge aromatics need breath and warmth to show forth fully. More gin in the flavor with light astringency and heavy drying notes. Rustic grains with good tannin structure from the wood. But perhaps a bit more malt sweetness would help balance the spicy gin. Nonetheless, it's still very flavorful and well-lagered/conditioned with strong attenuation, mild lactic and no acetic character.

750mL bottle, batch 1, drunk upon release and again with some age on it. The aged being much preferable. Clear rosy-brass with a large, well-retained, white head. Nose is lovely brett with just a touch of hibiscus. Lime is melded in to the brett acidity and doesn't stand apart, which is fantastic. Honey-rich malts balance easily and there's even light saison character (classic esters/phenols) on the finish. In the mouth, it's soft, malty, well-attenuated with spicy adjunct notes, even lightly earthy from the hibiscus, as well as lime-lemon Brett with mild funk and lingering phenolic pepper. As usual, Grassroots/HF has managed the adjuncts gracefully. Lovely stuff.

Bottle from Silver. Cloudy orange with white head. Funky and tart, with pronounced citrus. Insanely balanced and light drinking. Very soft and well made.
