Nice amber coloured body with a thinnish off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, nice malt and a light amount of caramel. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive hops up front with nutmeg, a bit of caramel and a lot of malt. Aftertaste shows the hops, albeit a bit late. Overall, an acceptable pale, but not amazing - nor showing the hops it needs! I sampled this on draught at Growlers Pub South in St. Louis, MO on 13-August-2005.

Bottle on 01/10/2009 from Total Wine - West End. Clear golden caramel body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet vanilla, oak, spice and fruit aroma, some pear and white grape, with gentle caramel in the background and some floral hop notes. Sweet french vanilla flavor, some oak hints, light fruit, some white grape hints and some caramel with floral and slightly fruity hop notes. Medium full body with moderately low carbonation, some alcohol warming and a very smooth slightly syrupy finish. 8/3/9/4/17 - 4.1 Bottle on 11/30/2008 at the 3rd Annual Richmond Industry Gathering. Clear golden amber body with a small off-white head. Big oak and caramel aroma. Sweet caramel and light molassas flavor wih some sweet fruit. 2007 Bottle on 11/30/2008 at the 3rd Annual Richmond Industry Gathering. Dark black body with ruby highlights and a thick creamy light brown head. Big roast and choclate aroma. Big roast, chocolate, light coffee and bourbon flavor. Medium full body with moderate carbonation.

courtesy of tilley4 This one belongs up there with the best of pumpkin beers, and certainly is in my top 5 for the pumpkin style. Pours copper - orange with white head. Aroma is of course of pumpkin with a blend of other spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove) with light caramel. Overall everything, it left a nice sweet nose. Taste, not flooded with pumpkin but really well balanced with the other spices so none really come more across than the other. The mouthfeel was amazing with a light dough / butter cream palate enhanced by the spices, mostly cinnamon. Medium carbonation with nice tingly palate and a warming after taste.

courtesy of markwise. Another great offering from the amazing guys at Schlafly. Pours black with golden/yellow head, leaving a nice light yellow lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, very faint notes of bourbon/wood.. Taste, sweet with notes of vanilla, bourbon, roasted malts and oak. Overall bourbon remained on the weak side, but enjoyable none the less. At 10.5abv, this is a very taste brew, slow sipper. Would def. get better with some aging.
