Bottle. Light copper body. Small, off-white head that is mostly diminishing. Strong spice aroma of cloves and cinnamon. The spice nose carries over into the flavor which is dominated by clove. The aroma also has hints of pine, caramel and brown sugar. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The finish stays on the sweet side. Medium body with a velvety, slightly sticky texture. Lively carbonation. The strong clove aroma and taste was too overpowering.

12oz bottle.. Pours nicely with a hazy orange-straw color. Aroma is kind of a thick marmalade dustiness. With a slightly too -young esters coming through. Taste is that a bit overly fruity esters with a yeast-y doughy and sweet finish. Its pretty decent but a bit young and well... like one would expect from a 6-pack of Saison (is it wrong for me to conceptualize it that way?). It’s a good beer but needs a bit of tweaking.

12 oz bottle at the Old Chicago in Overland Park, Kansas. 10 29 08. Pour is ruby golden with active carbonation bubbles and an off white 1 inch head. Nice lacing. Aroma of cloves, cinnamon, brown sugar. Maybe some malt underneath all of that. Taste is big clove spiciness, very much potpourri. The brown sugar and cinnamon are present, but mostly taste the cloves. There is a hop bitterness to the finish. Palate is medium and fairly mouth coating. Nice, but a bit overpowering on the spice - though this did relax a bit as it warmed.

courtesy of hwwty4. Pours hazy orange. Aroma is yeasty, with spices (coriander). Taste is yeasty and fruity (orange), this one has all the notations of a wit bier, did not really see a saison here. A very nice brew, drinkable. Just confused on the whole saison style.

courtesy of hwwty4. Pours orange/brown with tan head. Aroma was loaded with nice piney hops. It almost felt like taking a walk in a pine forest, the aroma was that strong. Taste is hoppy, comes off well balanced with the malts and some spices (cinnamon). Really loved this one.

Bottle. Spicy with notes of funk, this is an interesting biere de garde. Hazy golden body with a big, white head that is mostly lasting. The aroma presents notes of clove, pepper, grain, mustiness, dust and hints of toast and citrus. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The beer finishes moderately bitter and dry. Medium body with a somewhat grainy texture. Lively carbonation. Enjoyable.
