Hop in the City: Nicely done. A tart aroma of spice back the flavors of peppery clove and fruit — orange peel and citrus. Dry finish. Light to medium body. This was quite a refreshing beer.

Hop in the City: Aroma: Coffee. Flavor: Coffee. Aftertaste: Coffee with a slight bitter bite. Other than that, there is a bit of sweet malt background, but it’s difficult to detect over the coffee. As Schlafly’s t-shirts say, Beer is not just for breakfast anymore. This is a coffee that you can have after dinner, too.

Bottled, thanks beerhandy! Near black with small beige head. Coffee aroma. Sweet and very roasty. Surprisingly it feels more malty and rounded than the Oatmeal Stout. Salty, tarry finish. The coffee has done this beer good!

Bottled, thanks beerhandy! Dark brown. Medium bodied and lightly roasty with clean mouthfeel. Lingering bitter, salty finish. Surprisingly neutral and spritzy.

Bottled, thanks beerhandy! Dark brown. Aroma of malt and red berries. Sweet and roasty with some toffee. Solid and really malty. Well balanced.

Light in aroma (hops), a little more forceful in taste with a slight bitter edge. Medium body is nice. Smooth and refreshiing enough, but nothing special.

A pleasant-enough beer, but smelled and tasted more like a good lager. Little roasted malt, jsut a touch of sweetness. Thin with lively carbonation and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Certainly, smooth. Not displeasing, but also nothing to distinguish it.

It’s definitely an American Lager, with all of the limitations of the genre. They make a nice one, but it is a bit thin and needs a little more umph to push it above mediocrity.

Enjoyed this one more than I expected. Color is strange... like a mix of a normal hefeweizen and a pink lemonade... depending on lighting the pink really comes through. Aroma is strong of raspberry... much stgronger than I expected. Berry also comes through pretty strong in the taste, but it blends nicely with the rest of the brew... The only thing I didn’t find great was the finish as it ends a little abruptly.

Pretty good pilsner. Pours a light color with nice white head that quickly diminishes. Aroma is grassy, floral and slightly hoppy. Sweetish flavor with pretty substantial hopping. Nice and refreshing for summer.
