Bottle. Large, foamy head covers an effervescent golden haze. Aromas are fairly blah... straw/grass, yeast, maybe a touch of lemon and banana. Flavor is about the same. The body is light and thin... doesn’t feel like it should. The flavor is fairly dull as well, but comes off as a crisp and refreshing beer, but boring.

Bottle. Color is a copper/orange with a small head. Aroma is slighty sweet with a touch of a scotch like smokey peat quality. Flavor is really well done. There is a nice sweet malt body... caramel seems like a cliche description, but I can’t come up with anything better. This gives way to a full finish of bitter that has a slightly earthy peat flavoring to it. Hops are there but balance very well with the spicey and earthy tones. Supremely well done and hides its ABV well.

Bottle. Orange body with a bit of a haze and a very thin head. Aromas are lush with bananas and cloves with a yeasty bread backdrop. Flavor has a burst of coriander spicing up front and then slips into a cloves and banana finish after passing through a bit of a yeasty transition. There is a touch of a lemony flavoring throughout.

Bottle from BeerDrenched; Nose of cloves, cloves, and more cloves, along with a little orange, just as advertised! Good thing I love cloves! Copper wit a small beige head; spicy clove flavor with some light orange flavor and background hop bitterness wuhich shows up in the finish 10 or 15 seconds later as the spice flavors fade. Decent spiced ale!

Bottle from BeerDrenched; Nose is roasty, sweet, and choclatety clear dark brown with a medium rusty head; flavor is choclatety, with some roasty coffee notes added; good but not very complex.

Bottle from Beerdrenched; Thanks; Nose of bananas, cloves, nutmeg, and some wheaty breadiness; Great smelling nose; slightly hazed copper with a medium straw colored head; flavor shows the bananas especially, with some cloves in the light medium body with a light fruity chocolate note in the finish. Good Dunkelweisen.

750 ml Bottle - 2006 Vintage. Pour is almost black, with touches of deep brown. Aroma is standard imperial stout, with a hint of the barrel. Taste is roasting coffee, dark chocolate, and heavy malt. There was also a touch of sweetness in the finish, in the grain. I did not pick up on the barrel aging in the taste, and this did not have the layers of flavors my favorite imperial stouts have, but all in all, a very tasty beer.

Pour is black with a small tan head. Aroma is very much caramel and chocolate malts. Flavor is roasty with some wood smoke and dark chocolate. Finish is bitter but not enough to take away the flavor. Alcohol is no prob as there is a touch as you swallow but nothing over the top. Not the best Impy stout by far but still kinda tasty and comes in a six pack of bottles.

Pour is a complete black with a nice tan head. Aroma is excellent. Lots of bourbon and oak. Also detect some coffee and vanilla. Flavor is off the charts good! Lots of bourbon and a nice smokyness with a bit of oak and a strong dose of coffee. A nice burn is on the back of your throat as the swallow goes down. As it warms the bourbon becomes even more apparent. Super tasty and well done.

Pour is a very clear brown with a fizzy white head. Aroma is very sweet with notes of some malts and a heavy dose of alcohol. Flavor is super sweet with some smokyness and again the alcohol kicks in. Not really a barleywine at all. Way to sweet to the point of almost being hard to drink. Hops are almost a non factor. I’ll finish the bottle since i paid for it but can’t really recommend it.
