Draft, Soulard Ale House, St. Louis. A thin head atop some sticky golden malt gives it more of an Oktoberfest feel. But there’s a flavorful hop profile that gives it a nice peppery note atop a trace of citrus. Very refreshing.

Pours a nice dark black. With a smallish tan head. Aroma is smoky and coffee. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, oats carmel, malts and vanilla. Lots of things to roll over the tounge on the way down. Very flavorful and pleasing. Schlafly’s best by a mile.

Pours a nice cloudy amber. Aroma is hops. Flavor is very malty and very hoppy. Nice bitterness as this one goes down. Comparable to SNPA for those hopheads out there. Recommended.

Pours a light hazy yellow. No aroma. Flavor is flat, boring and lifeless. There is nothing even to compare it to. I don’t know where they were going with this. This is probably the worst of this style I have had.

Pours a dull yellow with almost no head. The armoa in mine was kind of soapy. Flavor is lightly hoppy with s sticky mouthfeel. Not the best brew to come out of the St.Louis brewery, maybe I’ll try it later in the summer to see if I change my mind.

Bottled. Orange-amber. Strong, hoppy grapefruit aroma. Very malty with dense, clean mouthfeel, Still a bit young and raw. Biting bitterness. Similar to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but with more malt.

Pours a dark red with a tan head. Aroma is woody and earthy. Flavor is toasted malt and dark fruit. I can taste plums and raisons. Leaves a nice smokey aftertaste. Very tasty!

Pours a golden yellow with a medium head. Flavor is malty and you can get a slight hoppy flavor. Nice lacing. Its light in body but very nice flavor makes this a damn fine lager. Much better effort for the style than its St.louis neighbor.

Copper/Amber coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of mild english hops with some malt coming through. Medium-bodied; Nutty flavour with some english hops and little else. Aftertaste mild and typical of a bitter english pale. Overall, a decent epa, but not Schlafly's best at all! I got this twelve ounce bottle from Phil (haddon90) in Knoxville, Tennessee...thanks again Phil!

Dark brown coloured body with a lighter tan head. aroma of chocolate and coffee flavours. Medium-bodied; Strong malt taste with chocolate very noticeable. Chewy aftertaste with sweetness coming out of every tastebud. Overall, a very nice oatmeal, definately worth trying!
