bottle at the Fort Wayne tasting - Pours lightly hazy copper with a thin head. It has a light aroma of citrus and flowers. The taste is really different. The expected bitterness is there, though mild for the style, but you can also really taste the jasmine. I’d suggest trying it just for something different.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Slightly hazy amber colour with a nice, creamy, yellowish brown head. Lovely aroma of sweet caramel and aroma hops. Full body with lots of sweetish caramel flavours and aroma hops. Some slightly medicinal notes. 211006

Pours black with a tan head. The aroma brings lots of roast malt and caramel notes to the nose. The flavor is lightly swet, with plenty of smooth, bitter, roast malts. Lightly sweet, dry finish.

On tap at Elysian, Capitol Hill, Seattle. Orange gold colour with lasting white head. Lemony flavour. Good wheat presence. Very competent, tasty hefe. Good lemon, spice, esters, banana. Very good quality German style hefe. Couldn’t pick it as not being German. Bit of hop on end completes the picture. Bit of bubblegum. Nice esters on aroma. Good lacing on glass.

On tap at Elysian, Capitol Hill, Seattle. Hazy copper colour. Belgian yeasty aroma, moderate tangerine fruit. Just a little watery I guess. Hoppy finish. Pretty nice, bit too sweet and a little empty in the middle.

Bottle pours a clear medium amber with a full, creamy, lasting off white head. Heavy thick lacing. Not much in the way of aroma, light grain, some sweetness, like a wet grocery bag, almost pilsnerish. Flavor is pretty bitter but sweet light malts as well. Not so much hopps aroma/flavor but plenty of IBUs. Nice smooth soft palate. Easyon the carbonation, surprising for the nice head on it.

On tap at Elysian, Seattle. Black with tan head. Good stout. Plenty of flavour, lots of roasted malt, dry finish. Very black, some blackberry fruit in the malt. Reasonable juicyness before tingly finish dryness comes in. Rather a good dry stout. Juicyness is good. Some charcoal.

On tap at Elysian, Seattle. Gold colour with thin white head. Nice hop on aroma, bit of lager malt. Ooh that saaz flavour, I just don’t like, but it’s not stale and that crispness on the end is good. Competent, well put together. Saazy pilsener with great hop finish. Good pilsener
