On tap at the brewery. Rich pink colour. Big pink head that collapses quickly. Big fruity aroma, especially passionfruit. Tart front, sweet fruity middle, tart finish. Very well balanced. Depth of fruit flavour. I’m an experienced DFPF drinker and this is in line with the best of the other batches I’ve had. Still a unique American berliner.

On tap at Boxelder. Medium brown. Sweet and a bit of brown sugar. Sweet, dash of alcohol, hints of almond, a bit oily. Nice finisher.

Dark brown. Thin head. Aroma is molasses, woody, citrusy hops...complex and enticing. Very bitter, has a hint of molasses, and the earthy, woody bitter character is really intense. I like it - more assertive than most examples I’ve tried lately.

Cloudy pale. Aroma is fairly straightforward yeasty stuff, but the palate is where this really rocks. Sweet, beautiful fresh coconut...not toasted...really nice. Not only brings an extra dimension to the table, in a way that seems very natural. Probably the biggest surprise at JWB, an innovative take on the style that is seamless.

Big citra nose. A touch yeasty, and it’s a bit cloudy. Has a really nice citra character with a mellow bitterness. Nicely balanced.

Dark brown, smoky aroma, with chocolate. Complex, fairly rich, and the smoke lingers nicely. Delicious.

Cloudy, yeasty, but on the palate it is a touch biscuity, has a vaguely hefeweizen character. Finishes reasonably dry, a bit doughy.

Bottle thanks to Ben. Pours a gorgeous pink with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong passionfruit and wheat. Thin mouth, tart, strong passionfruit, nice puckerness, really amazin stuff.
