Pours clear, deep golden with thick, frothy head that disappears almost immediately. Fruity and floral notes, yeast and hops aroma. In taste at first it’s hoppy bitter and fruity sweet combined, followed by yeasty and alcoholic notes. Leaves alcoholic, dry mouthfeel. Lively carbonated, light bodied. Not the usual blond ale that I’m used to but I’ve no problem with that. Nice.

Bottle at home. Sötétbarna színű, gyorsan elillanó habbal. Az illata kávés, ezen kívül visszafogott csoki és földes jegyek mutatkoznak. Az ízét szintén a kávé dominálja, már amennyi van neki. Nem túl karakteres, és akkor még visszafogott voltam: a kávén kívül (ami amúgy teljesen korrekt) nem sok minden mást mutat, a teste túlságosan vizes, és túl sok a karbonizáció, ehhez a stílushoz képest mindenképp, de úgy egyébként is.

Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di speziato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e la maniera in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma è destinato a vita breve. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è carico. La forza gustativa è elevata e la persistenza è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al palato prevalgono sentori di miele, frutta secca, luppolo, resina, agrumi, pompelmo, arancia amara, ananas e mandarino.

Bottiglia. Il naso riconosce indizi di orzo. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma che resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida e anche qui la grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è nella media. La forza gustativa è normale e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il finale è semplice e dissetante. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. In bocca l'aroma è quello di miele, crosta di pane, cereali, erba e agrumi.

Dark with a nice tan head. Aroma was more hop forward with pine and citrus. Light roasted notes. Flavor was similar. I couldn’t get into this one. Just didn’t strike me as a stout.

Draught @ 67 Kapiteli, Valletta. Misty pale yellow appearance, white head. Really quite bitter and thin for a DIPA, not much hop character coming through at all, most strange. Have been so used to DIPAs being full fruited smooth sweet hop bombs, but this is nothing of the sort. Not sure what to make of it, besides being very disappointed.

Draught @ 67 Kapiteli, Valetta and a 330ml bottle sat on the rocks at Manoel Island. Pours a misty pale yellow, white head. Light hoppy air on the nose. Fairly light bodied, good bitter citrus hop bite. Decent sesh.

Draught @ 67 Kapitali, Valetta and a 330ml bottle the same day sat on Manoel Island I liked it that much. Pours a hazed dark appearance, good white head. Hoppy pine and roast on the nose. Lovely hoppy presence to taste with comforting roasted malt and a robust bitter edge. Best LC beer I tried in Malta.

Draught @ 67 Kapitali, Valletta. Pours a hazed yellow, white head. Wasn't sure what to expect from this, prickly pear can be quite earthy and not too sweet. Unfortunately it came across quite thin, airy and distinctly bitter. Perhaps a hint of melon coming through on the close. Not a lot else to say.
