500ml bottle bought in Swadlincote to give me some malty company on a train journey. Has a chestnut colour, with a pleasant malty start and fruity hoppy finish.

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Burnished copper, thin white head. Sweet and clarty with nothing balancing that out. Not very nice. At bit Bombardierish.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a dark mahogany with a bubbly tan head. The aroma is of dry stale malt leading to a medium bitter, liqourice, smoky peat flavour. The palate is little watery and the bitterness in the finish was not the best I’ve tasted.
