Hand pulled pint at the Railway Tavern, Newport, Shropshire on 22nd October 2025. Light golden body, white crown. Hoppy front on a solid malty base, a bit weak (it's only 3.4% ABV), but it was fine overall.

500ml bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Autumn Gathering 2025. Pours pitch black with a deep tan head. Aroma of roasted malt. Quite a roasty, layered stout profile, medium to full bodied with a lasting roast linger. Nicely done.

Bouteille 50cl à Belgian Summer Beer Gathering, merci Matt.

First off, this is not a stout. But hey, what do I know. Anyway, after a week all inclusive on a family holiday in Turkey I realise what is good beer. I worked out that I could drink a maximum of 3 of the local macro stuff before I couldn't face any more, but luckily they had Chivas Regal so i was OK. Back in the room. This is a proper dark bitter, rich, a bit of smokiness, rich depth of flavour. It's really good. Maybe i needed the holiday as a palate cleanser.
