Bottle at home from a farm shop somewhere in the New Forest. Looks ok in the glass, but it was a hugely cruddy Bottle and it got into the pour. Bit farmyardy, but ok. It really is cruddy!

Handpull cask at the Glue Pot, Swindon.chestnut brown and clear with an uneven off-white head. Nutty aroma, some sweet woody notes. Bittersweet taste, some caramel, forest floor. Turps bittetness hits later. Flat, light body. It's quite enjoyable for a basic bitter.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Dark brown black colour, bubbly brown foam head and aroma of roasty malt, dark chocolate, liquorice, coffee. Taste is roast malty, ashy, chocolate & coffee, dark fruits, smokey, with earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry tangy roast bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.
