Cask, handpump at the Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 27-04-09 Pours light amber with a touch of the floralness on the nose. This is a simple easy drinking bitter possibly a touch sweet at times but a reasonable showing from the hops, its fine. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

(Cask at Carpenters Arms, Marylebone, London, 18 Apr 2009) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of apricots, orange and dusty hops. Fruity, malty taste with apricots, orange, biscuity malt amd dusty hops in the finish. Not very exciting but a decent and well made bitter from a consistently reliable brewer.

Cask conditioned at The Castle, Furnival St., London
Hazy golden color. There is a light apple vinegar character in this mellowish Golden Ale. Pleasant but simple.

Cask Conditioned at The Castle, Furnival St., London
Hazy blond color. The aroma is mild, with malt, hops and fruits, maybe apples, pleasant. Good mouthfeel, it has a good earthy malt flavor, with caramel, light toffee, very light fruitness, correct bitterness. Good Golden Ale, where the delicate earthy touch is a plus.

Cask @ Wenlock Arms with Magic Dave6 and Mes. I have to admit that I would try this just for the name since I m a huge fan of the series. Black colored with slim head. Roasted and chocolate malts. Hints of coffee and caramel. Bitter sweet with a nice warm finish. I liked it.

Pint, well-kept real ale from cask at The Aikman’s Cellar Bar where it was served at a comfortable drinking temperature. Thin, white head over an amber coloured body. Blast of orange fruits to the nose. Modest taste of earthy hop resin with a spicy touch. Creamy smooth in the mouth. Average drinkability for the style [St Andrews, 08.11.2008].
