Description

500ml bottle delivered from Beers of Europe and drunk at home. It pours caramel brown, only slightly hazy with athin off-white head. Light notes of overripe banana, bread yeast, some sourish yoghurt. Tasteis a biscuity sweetness, pleasant without being over the top. Some rounding hop bitterness near the finish with Horlicks in the aftertaste. Not the absolute top of the style but tasty and refreshing.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep chestnut brown but with shades of autumnal red and light lava-orange chinks. Nose - malt loaf, toffee with some dry red fruit. Taste - more malt and toffee with some chewy nuts too. Palate - medium to full bodied. Chewy and sweet through middle and finish but with just enough roasted malt to cleanse the palate on the finish. Overall - lovely stuff.

Gyldenbrun. Høyt tett skum med litt farge. Daler sakte. Spotlacing. Helt klar. Aroma av banan & brøddeig. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken mest banan. Hint av annen frukt. Lett tørr avslutning. Uklar i siste kvelning. Bra hveteøl.

500ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Pours a solid, bubbly, white tophead leaving patchy lacing behind. A wheat haze to a pale golden body. Moderate ripe banana aroma, yeasty spices to it. Mixed taste of wheat and mid-sweet banana, some citric notes to it, lightly yeasty-spiced. Mild banana ending. Soft in the mouth, and a slightly diluted impression. Quite alright with our pollock dish. (Tromsø 14.01.2021).
