Description
Burton Bridge Brewery is a traditional style brewery that produces a wide range of beers.
We have stillaging and cooling equipment, will organise a selection of beers for you to approve and set it all up
For something a little different ask if we have our vintage Morris dray available. It has been on display at festivals and was used as a hearse for a funeral.
Mid-2024 the ownership of the Burton Bridge brewery has changed hands in a merger which also ensures the future of the town’s Heritage brewery.
The deal sees Burton Bridge come under the umbrella of leisure company Planning Solutions, which previously ran the National Brewery Centre in Burton, prior to Molson Coors’ decision to close it.

Gravity cask at Wandsworth Halloween Beer Festival, 2010. Pours a rich, ruby-amber with a faint, filmy head. Aroma is rife with alcohol, along with some malts and light fruits. More booze in the flavor, with some nice sweetness in the forms of caramel and honey coming through. Medium to full in body with light carbonation and plenty of warmth. Finishes with lingering alcohol and some caramel maltiness. If you straight up love the taste and feel of alcohol this beer will get your juices flowing. (3.5)
Bottle at the Croydonia Tasting - East Croydon. Huge thanks to Paul for sharing this beer, which was a vintage c. late 1970s. Pours mostly clear amber with a fine, white cream head. Nose of spruce, wood and aged fruits. Medium sweet flavor with notes of honey and lightly tangy fruits. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Sweet finish with more tangy and subtly juicy fruits, some dry wood. Good stuff. Has aged very, very well. Certainly better than the fresh example I had previously. (3.8)

(Cask at Southampton Arms, London) A below average brown ale. There were no flaws but I was hoping something more. Perhaps bit more roastedness and some molasses would have done the thing. Now, the beer was an bit unbalanced combination of sweetness and malts.

Cask-conditioned at the Staffordshire Beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 6/10/10. Reddish amber in colour with no head. Sweet, toffee and red fruit aroma, with some alcohol evident. Flavour was very sweet, with red currant jelly, crystallised oranges and jam, before a burning alcohol finish. Good.

Cask-conditioned at the Staffordshire Beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 6/10/10. Amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. Slightly sweet, malty flavour with some citrus and apricot fruit. Flavour had more fruitiness and earthy malts, before a pleasantly bitter finish. Drinkable.

Originally rated on October 2006. New arrival at the LCBO, and does not look like a standard-staying product. Nice old-school hand-made looking label. Pours a deep brown-caramel-red colour with a great big tanned head. This one has great retention and leaves great chunky lace all around. Bottled conditioned, so has a cloudiness to it. MacIntosh apple scent with some hop and slight roasted malt. The mouthfeel is quite thin and watery. Makes this a very easy drinking and refreshing porter. The taste is pretty interesting. Not too strong, but with a nice start of grain malt, the apples are somewhere in there too, then goes into a hoppy finish that has mild bitterness. A beautiful light coffee taste appears in the aftertaste. A well-brewed mild porter.

@Wenlock Arms, Aug 18/2010. Hazy amber. Earthy character - good bitterness with light acidity. Light fruitiness complements this character. Juicy finish.
