Description
Since 1996, our brewing philosophy has been quite simple – to brew memorable, well balanced and flavourful beers, regardless of the style.
From light and crisp, to malt forward and smooth, all the way to loaded with hops… each of our brews are crafted using 100% malted barley, the finest hops, water and yeast.
Founded in Kelowna, BC, now brewing in our expanded facility with Big Rock Brewery in North Vancouver’s Brewery Creek district, drop by if you’re in the neighbourhood and we’ll show you first hand how we make great beer.

Sampled at Tree, pours a hazy yellowish orange with a small head. Nose and flavour is pretty sweet, with loads of sweetened grapefruit, citrus zest, and wheat. Very much sweetened and wimpy, but still delicious. Good radler.

On tap at Tree, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out light grassy notes and corn. Flavour is very mellow and wheaty, with notes of corn, grassy notes, and hay. Too much residual sweetness from the adjuncts, but it's refreshing enough. Decent.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out a big kick of pineapple, followed by subtler notes of banana and clove. Flavour reveals a really nice mix of banana and pineapple - this is quite unlike anything I've had before. Very fruity, bright and refreshing. A solid tropical fruity hef.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark mahogany color with creamy beige head. Very light aroma of roasted malt. The mouthfeel is dry and dusty, with some roasted malt flavor, very light raspberry touch, light acidity: ordinary bitterness.
Not a bad beer, but just I can’t see an interest here.

Very dark, almost black...they use the word aphotic on the bottle and I like that. Bubbly light brown head. The aroma is black patent, bit of chocolate, and a touch of woody hop character. Rich, lots of roast, lots of dark chocolate. A bit more assertively roasty than most local stouts, so occupies a different niche.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Clear, auburn brown with beige head. Subtle bitterness and sweetness leads to a complex, but lacking in a good balance. Seems it doesn’t quite know what it wants to be. I like it, but it’s missing something I can’t quite put my finger on. Some caramel, nuts, and resin.

Black color with small creamy head. Nice roasty aroma with milky accent, and bread. Highly carbonated mouthfeel, off-dry; prominent roasted malt flavor but not too aggressive; light impression of lactose. Maybe a bit too much roasty in the final.
Indeed old school.
