First glass of the cask
Muddy amber color with generous creamy head. Strong peat aroma, not as fat as the Bamberg beers, malty, woody, lightly fruity, light tar, smoked herring. Smooth mouthfeel; promised as off-dry instead it’s luckily medium sweet, with malt flavor and strong smoke presence, wood; relatively low bitterness. Moderate acidity level.
Fresh, easy to drink, very enjoyable.

500 ml can. Pours a clear gold with moderate head. Light aromas of caramel and toasted malts. Flavors of toffee. light fruit, and light malt extract. Smooth and pleasant though nothing really special.

Can: Poured a bright golden color ale with a generous head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light cereal notes with some sweet notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by light cereal notes with some light citrus notes and some sweet undertones notes also noticeable. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. I was expecting an even lighter beer considering the style but in the end this is enjoyable enough as it is.

Hazy amber color. Some malt aroma, but too light. The mouthfeel is very dry, and at this gravity also quite weak; the malt and caramel flavor has a moderate but appreciated biscuity side; ordinary bitterness, lightly metallic in the end. Not much hop character, although the Earl Grey Tea impression leads to think of bergamot.

Hazy liht amber color with compact head. A reasonable Ale, with some malt, caramel; dry and light mouthfeel; correct bitterness; luckily the raspberry is limited to just a hint, providing a light acidity.

Amber color with creamy head. The aroma has some caramel and light fruitiness. Caramel flavor, quite dry, with strong bitterness (maybe too much) and infinitesimal biscuity malt trace.
Good beer, although it plays more with the malts while the yeast is very clean (not British hence).

Bottle - Toasted malts and chocolate with a bit of bread. Jet black with a big rich beige head. Light roast malts and some chocolate. Very light on the palate and at the abv very sessionable. I think they accomplished what they were looking for.

Can: Poured a golden color ale with light pink hazy notes and some spritzy carbonation with no retention and head lacing. Aroma of raspberry syrup with unrefined grainy notes is not the most pleasant. Taste is also dominated by fake syrupy notes of raspberry with unrefined grain malt notes and some stale hops notes. Body is light with low carbonation. It had been a while since I tasted such a bad fruit-based beer.

Bottle - Slate smell, citrus and yeast. Clear gold with a rich white head. Effervescent, baking soda, orange citrus and almost herbal. Interesting and fun to talk about, but not great.

65cl Bottle, ABV 8.2%. Thanks H&T! Almost black colour, light-beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malts, liquorice, some laurel, sweet, coffee, chocolate. Flavour is dry, roasted malts, liqourice, coffee, chocolate, grapefruit hoppy bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice, but lacks a bit of body.
