Description
Since 1996, our brewing philosophy has been quite simple – to brew memorable, well balanced and flavourful beers, regardless of the style.

From light and crisp, to malt forward and smooth, all the way to loaded with hops… each of our brews are crafted using 100% malted barley, the finest hops, water and yeast.

Founded in Kelowna, BC, now brewing in our expanded facility with Big Rock Brewery in North Vancouver’s Brewery Creek district, drop by if you’re in the neighbourhood and we’ll show you first hand how we make great beer.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Hazy red mahogany color. The aroma is mild, with cinnamon, a bit soapy. Caramel flavor, with a dash of cinnamon. Strong bitterness, dry at the end, with more roasted malt. Boring.

2011-03-09, bottle from BC Liquors on Robson St., Vancouver, 8.3% ABV, 7-5-8-5-15=40
Dark amber color, hazy, with medium sized creamy head. Strong caramel aroma, some hops, light apples. Strong body, with caramel and toffee flavor, and enough sweetness; very strong bitterness, some bitter oranges and a lot of resins evident mostly in the final. Very long final. Sweeter than I remembered. Pleasantly aggressive.

2010-08-14, bottle, purchased 5 months ago, 7-4-8-5-16=40
Dark amber color, hazy, with a generous, compact and persitent head. Nice aroma, toffee and hops, the hops are green and grassy. Good body strength; it has a good toffee flavor, with some sweetness; strong bitterness, but the hopping, even if it has some qualities, is not penetrating. Still very good.

2010-03-23, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 7-5-8-5-16=41
Cloudy orange-amber color; nice creamy head. Nice hop aroma, less powerful than the bottled one, citrusy hops. Good toasted malt and toffee flavor, with some residual sugars on the tongue, and a powerful hopping. Very strong final, resiny, citrusy enough and a bit creamy too. Long final, excessive but well built.

2010-03-14, bottle, 7-5-8-5-15=40
Cloudy red-amber color; small sized creamy head. The aroma is light, creamy, even with scent of Belgian yeast, and timid fruity hops. Strong body, good toffee flavor, sweet, with caramel; strong bitterness, with evident resins and light fruits, citrusy hops. Solid, even if not exciting.

Draught in Kimberley, BC. Clear amber, creamy head. Neutral nose. Light bodied with clean, simplistic crystal malt drowning in acidic lemon. Besides the obvious flaws there is not much noteworthy going on. A complete let down.

Canned in Kimberley, BC. Haz bronze colour, creamy head. Caramely and fairly sweet with clean mouthfeel and medium body. Mildly hopped with a bit too clean mouthfeel to be really interesting.

Can: Poured a bright yellow color pils with a medium size foamy head with some retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of lightly sweet malt notes with a dry finish. Taste is quite refreshing with nice notes of lightly sweet malt and dry finish with light crisp notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well done though more Noble hops would have improve the recipee.

Can: Poured a golden light copper color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of clean cereal taste with medium bittering hops. Taste is also a well balanced mix between some clean refined cereal with bittering hosp with light bitter finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well done with great refreshing and drinkability factor.

12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of fiulijn. Pours cloudy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is rather malty and citrusy to grapefruity hops. Bitter and dry flavoured with an initial dry and rather distinct malt base. Goes grapefruity bitter and hops fruity into a dry finish. Lingering aromatic from back of the nose.

650mL bottle split two ways, pours dark amber brown with a small head. Aroma is toffee, hazelnuts and caramel malts. Flavour of toffee, maple syrup, and quite a big alcohol kick. Very nice one.
