Brune foncée, un peu trouble, col fin crémeux blanc-cassé.
Arôme marqué par des notes maltées sur un chocolaté noir - au lait voire fève de cacao assez marquée - petite note rétro-nasale des houblons apportant un côté finement herbacé, résine avec une pointe coriandre/aneth.
Palais au caractère malté avec une bonne dose de chocolat - petite onctuosité, toasté repris par un excellent houblonné - résine, touche discrète d'aneth, petite note de picotement en fin de bouche, effet un peu abricot et un retour poussiéreux en fin de bouche.
Un peu décevant par rapport à d'autres Black IPA de La Source.

Claire dorée - pas l'once d'un trouble, pour une IPA de LaSource c'est assez exceptionnel pour être souligné. Col léger blanc-cassé, assez faiblard, sauf si le verre était pas trop bien nettoyé.
Arôme léger malté - usage d'épeautre, bouquet fin adouci houblonné avec tonalité de fraise, baies, finement herbacé.
Palais est marqué par le caractère sec - malt carapils, finement herbacé résine, poussiéreux, petite note de fraise aec un effet orange givrée. Thé vert matcha avec un retour amer marqué agrumes en fin de bouche.
Une IPA plus grand publique - pour moi, pas l'IPA la plus aboutie de La Source.

Clear yellow blond beer, big slightly irregular white head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: very herbal, arrow root, bitter impression, some oranges, weird. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: weird, spicy, chillies, very unpleasant bitterness, dry, lemony touch, more chillies. Aftertaste: bitter, rather unpleasant, somewhat weird, very herbal, medicinal bitterness, metallic finish, nope, not a big fan of their weird herbal beers…

75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Winter Gathering. Misty pale yellow appearance, not much of a head. Crisp, flickering fruity nectarine, not hugely prominent.. gentle acidity.. tangy linger. Nice.

Bottle shared at Brewver Belgian Winter Gathering. Light pinkish-yellow color, virtually no head. Aroma and flavor are very pleasantly sour fruity, nectarines, unripe mandarins, but very nicely balanced imo. I really like this one. 8-8-8-9-8,5

75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Winter Gathering. Pours gold with a light mist, pure white head. Aroma is herbal, gently spicy, wild air. Crisp sourness with a layered wild complexity, spicy moments with a noticeable juniper sweetness, tart fruity acidity. Like it.

Can. Near clear paleish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and has a good fine minerally crispness. Light malts, sweet enough. The combo of Nelson and Hallertau Blanc deliver good white grape with a touch of white wine, the combo delivering a good portion of what Nelson used to do solo. Light bright citrus. A mild bitterness and a modest hop spice nip on the crisp finish. Very nicely done, very good hoppage makes for a well charactered dipa.

Very cloudy light peach pinky orange to blond beer, small creamy white head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: lovely, lots and lots of peaches, nectarines, very funky, brett notes. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, very fruity, juicy, good acidity. Aftertaste: funky, a little bitter, peaches and nectarines, some tannins, very nice one!
