Description

Draught Small white head over veiled yellow-orange beer. Citrussy hops, bit of grains, hints at exotic fruit as passionfruit, rainwater. Bitter flavour, hopoils, wholemeal bread, citrus. Light body, quite slick, even a bit oily. All Foglie d’Erba beers seem to be a tad similar, whatever the style. Doesn’t mean they’re bad...

Draught Very dense, snowwhite, very regular head over copper-amber, fully clear beer. Fresh hops nose, lime-like washing liquid, green fruit. Bit of human sweat, again fruity, but difficult to say what, almonds (milkripe). Very slight restsweetness, especially into the aftertaste. Light body, very light slickness. Light, refreshing beer but nothing great.

Draught Very good off-white head, very slowly disappearing over golden-orange beer. Hop, very fresh, garden herbs, nectarines. Fresh hops returning with citrus, nectarines, green fruit, green grapes. Very light body, bordering on the watery. NIce, light easy-drinking beer.

Draft @ Moeder Lambic Italian Beerfest ’13.

Draft @ Moeder Lambic Italian Beerfest ’13. Solide.

Draft @ Moeder Lambic Italian Beerfest ’13.

Sampled draft @ CML Italian Beer Festival 2013. Thx! To Sebletitje. Fun label. Appearance reminds me of a faro oddly, same kind of murky amber shade with white bubbles for a head. Nose surprisingly sweet but fruity sweet, quite sweet grapefruit, bubblegum, candy sugar, flowers,… Taste is apricot juice mixed with candy sugar, honey, very fruity, flowers, bubblegum, very light resin, light bitter hay in the finish. Touch watery body. I think that it is safe to say that I have never head an IPA like this before.

2013-05-18, draught at Il Birratrovo, Como, 7-4-6-3-13=33
Hazy golden color with generous compact head. The aroma has some fruity hops, apples, but it’s mild. The body is lean, the carbonation is soft; not much flavor, it has light fruitiness from the hop; correct bitterness and dry.
2013-05-17, draught at BQ via Losanna, Milan, 8-4-7-4-15=38
Cloudy golden color with generous compact head. Very nice hop aroma, citrusy, fresh; lemon cream. Dry and lean mouthfeel; light malt flavor, but nice hopping, with the correct bitterness, and a mix of grassy/fruity character, ending with a light lemony touch.
Archetypal American Pale Ale.
