Description
Saint Somewhere Brewing Company is a brewer of traditional Farmhouse ales located in Tarpon Springs, Florida. We are a small batch brewery using only the finest ingredients available. Belgian malt and wheat, whole noble hops and open fermentation add to the complexity of our ales. Our beers are unfiltered and re-fermented in the bottle, not engineered, but truly hand crafted.

750 ml bottle, trade with Daknole! Y’know those warnings about opening corked champagne bottles? I should heed them. The twistie on the wire cage broke, so I fiddle with my pliers, and as soon as I got the cage loose, out pops the cork and hits me in the eyebrow. No harm this time at least, just some cleaning of the concrete floor. Just a few dribbles lost. Once I got it into my big tulip, I got a misty golden body under a head with a mind of its own, including a "core sample" of foam poured from the neck. Smell is tart, but Belgian pils malt comes through. I’ll go with chamomile and maybe rosemary, though the black pepper doesn’t turn up for me. Once I finally get to drink it, I find it tart again, spritzy and spicy. Lemony taste of a wit, too. Spice balance the malts more than any hops. Like most saisons, this gives me a "soapy" impression, but not too much. A nice followup to the Imperial Stout earlier today. And I finally add a tick for Florida and North Carolina beers in my Geo Stats today!
However, at the end of the bottle, I’m sneezing like my allergies have kicked in. Could be the spices or something in the hops. Something in beer making triggers my allergies. Hope it’s not hops. Got enough to worry about without diabetes hanging over my head.

on tap @BT-pours a white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is sulphur, wheat. Taste is sulphur, wheat, some tart fruit. Not quite a sour, not quite a wild, not quite a Berliner Weisse. 2.9 Now I am seeing the notes for this beer (as I am entering my rate), not sure the sulphur impression would change, but couldn’t identify that their were berry flowers . Will look for this again.

Poured up on tap at CCB with a slightly hazy bright gold body and fine looking white head. The aroma was a pleasing mix of musty sweaty leather and dirt soccer field with sharper spicy yeast notes and some sweet light skinned fruity esters around the edges. The taste is similar with notes of apples and pears quickly giving way to mustier funkier notes as well as sharper spiciness. By midway the sweet light malt and estery notes get a touch too sweet for a while but into the finish a layer of lemon like acidic tartness evens out the experience. If the sweetness was ratcheted down a notch I’d really dig me some of this. Love to try it again mid summer. Nice one Bob.

On tap at Fruit in the Room at Cigar City Brewing. Pours murky gold with thin white to off white head. The aroma is apples, herbs, spiciness, a touch of tartness, more apples and an herbally type note. The taste is sweet apple fruitiness, apple skins tartness and then increasing levels of dryness. It really dries out almost to the point of puckering into the finish. It has lingering and fading smooth apple, smooth yeasty spices and faint lemon like acidic tartness. Refreshing.
