Description
Desevaux is a family brewery based in Belgium in the province of Hainaut. Our ale beers are brewed using only natural ingredients and are refermented in the pure tradition of the artisanal beers for which Belgium is famous. Started in 2009, the brewery was established a few years later in an old farm in Boussu ‘La ferme du Hanneton’ where you will feel the friendly and country atmosphere.
This peaceful setting is perfect for a family brewery wishing to offer you tasty traditional beers while paying special attention to sustainable development.

In the heart of the Hanneton valley, the Brasserie Deseveaux offers its range of beers brewed by hand... with its touch of originality. Brasserie Deseveaux is a family brewery located in the municipality of Boussu in the province of Hainaut. Our high fermentation beers are brewed from natural ingredients and refermented in the pure tradition of craft beers. We are giving pride of place to cereals or ancestral seeds like oats and buckwheat. These ingredients were chosen for their originality, their taste and the durability of their production. The brewing water drawn from the heart of the Hanneton Valley gives our beers a unique character.

Pours unclear, dark amber. no real head. Scent is caramelly, only mildly spiced. Fuel (petrol). Taste is sharply bitter, touch sweet. Aged chocolate. Caramel, biscuits, slightly overcarbed over an only medium body.

Pours unclear blonde, no real head. Scent is very watercress-like, for some reason? Lambic-like malty aroma (not the tartness, brett, funk or bacteria ) Taste is sharp, rather bitter. Full, very estery finish. Not overly banana though. Medium body. Rather high carbo, very strange and unique !

Pours unclear yellow. Small to no white head. Scent is heavy on coriander and lemon (citrus) peel. taste is sharp, bit bitter, wheat is clear, rather refreshing. Very light coriander and citrus. Typical witbier

Pours slightly unclear, not much head. Scent is more green (grassy and dank) than the base version. Taste is equally sharp, dry, saison phenols are mild but seemingly a touch higher than the basebeer. more grassy. Slightly better balance.

Pours slightly unclear blonde. Scent is full, green beer like. Herbal and mild DMS. Taste is sharp , bit bitter. very raw, green beer like. Not a lot of lager yeast profile. mildly bitter. Harsh lager.

Clear orange-brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have raisins and candy sugar. Quite sweet but has a nice boozy dry finish. Almost feels like a rum barrel aged.

Clear pale blond to yellow beer, small creamy white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty herbal, a bit yeasty, banana peel, sweet impression. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: slightly sweet, bitter touch, malty, grains. Aftertaste: a bit fruity, yeasty, ok, not great.

Clear blond orange beer, creamy off-white head, unstable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: banana, yeasty, a bit herbal, more yeast. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet and sugary start, lots of overripe banana, bitter touch, meh. Aftertaste: bitter, a bit malty, metallic touch, more banana, bleh. Pretty boring, I don’t like it.

Pretty clear red brown beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: caramel, a bit sweet, liquorice, malty, spicy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, malty, alcohol, caramel, a little sweet. Aftertaste: malty, sourish touch, grains, more acidity, malty, ok.

Taste: sourish start, very malty, grains, pretty bitter, some banana. Aftertaste: very bitter, grassy, a bit sourish, grains, wheat impression.
