Belgian style blonde ale commissioned by Bhangsters Union, which I assume is a client brewer (but I could hardly find any further details about it), brewed with both barley malt and wheat malt. Bottle from Le Panier d'Eloïse. Thick and foamy, egg-white, dense, even-bubbled, regular, 'Brugse kant'-like lacing, creamy and stable head towering over an initially near clear, warm peach blonde robe with orangey tinge, turning misty further on. Rather weak aroma of spiced crackers, raw radish, hard pear, unripe green banana, dry 'herbes de Provençe', cooked parsnip, iron shavings but 'natural' and nowhere dominant, unripe peach, sweetclover, spelt bread, linseed, wet sand, dirty rubber. Fairly crisp onset, some subdued sweetness and esteriness reminiscent of unripe peach, unripe banana and unripe pear, moderately carbonated with still a strong minerally effect underlying everything, smooth mouthfeel with a touch of wheaty soapiness; in the middle, a bread-crusty and dry cracker-ish barley flavour dominates, remaining quite dry and sleek with only the slightest trace of residual sugars. Floral hops in a quite 'natural' way, providing a drying, crisp, peppery and eventually quite strong bitterness in the end, while a slight juiciness of unripe green fruits persists; touches of dried herbs (thyme, clove) and earthier notes of turnip and radish creep in near the end too. Ends dry, hop- and yeast-bitter, softly spicy and mildly earthy, in a typical Walloon blonde-like way (though I had much 'dirtier' examples as such). Sleek, fairly streamlined, unsurprising yet technically well-executed Walloon blonde - with a dry, 'tight' profile, light spiciness and hoppy-bitter quenching quality that reminds me of classic Belgian saison, in the non-sour, traditional, rounded way. Meets my expectations perfectly: yet another one in this range, sure, but in itself quite enjoyable and well made. I am left wondering what this "Bhangsters Union" actually is, and what other beers they may have commissioned so far (though a triple, brune and / or ambrée are probably the most likely candidates, if any...).

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is spicy estery yeast with ripe fruits, citrus, some apricot, herbal notes. Flavour is fairly bitter for a Saison with some sweetness. Body is medium. Nice, a bit rough around the edges though.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is spicy estery yeast with creamy grain, ripe fruits, herbal notes. Flavour is on the bitter side for a Saison with a mild sweetness. Body is medium with hefty carbonation. Liked the regular Saison a bit better.
