12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/27/2017. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice thick soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance. A bit of lingering hop astringency, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with a mild warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a delicious DIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink; even with the increasingly bitter/resinous/drying finish. Really juicy and lightly dank hop profile; nice balancing malt backbone, without being too sweet or heavy feeling. A very enjoyable offering.

22 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear deep orange/copper/light reddish color wit ha 1-2 finger fairly dense cream colored head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and nuttiness; with lighter notes of toffee, roast, plum, berry, pear, apple, herbal, floral, grass, wood, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/bready/light roasted malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and nuttiness; with lighter notes of toffee, roast, plum, berry, pear, apple, herbal, floral, grass, wood, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/grassy/spicy hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, light toffee/roast, herbal, floral, grass, wood, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from hop/roast bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a great Irish red ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, clean, and pretty refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. A spot on style example, and very flavorful for the low ABV. Very clean malt flavors; with balancing earthy/noble hops and restrained yeast fruitiness. A very enjoyable offering.

Bomber from the brewery. Brett E. couldn’t be bothered to make it to the tasting last night so he doesn’t get to try this beer which promises to be wonderful. Black, thin foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of strong coffee, strong roast, vanilla, whiskey. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, vanilla. Hints of whiskey. Medium bodied, mild booze, light on the barrel (a positive in my book). Nice beer.

Rich dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall tan head on top and a nice opaque glow of brown, about 70% opaque. Aroma of pure molasses, brown sugars, roasted and toasted malts, some oats, a little bit of earth and cereals and another bite of anise and some spice. Medium-bodied; Rich roasty flavours with a big dose of metal and earth along with some chocolate and caramelised sugars, coupled with a good toast and nutty finish that shows a lot of fuller bodied notes near the end. Aftertaste has a pleasant complexity with the toasted malts and earthiness by far the strongest, but also with a little dose of sweetness and even spice with a smooth finish of chocolate and even some bread and unfinished yeast noticeable as well. Overall, a well-structured and nicely flavoured stout with almost a porter-like flavour, but some good chocolate and spice flavours and a good body with a smooth complexity near the end make this very nice, especially when the weather isn’t perfect outside! I sampled this sixteen ounce can purchased from Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 11-September-2015 for US$2,59 sampled at home in Washington on 30-May-2017.

Bomber to mug, the appearance was a sly ruddy burnt amber color with a slight transparency about it. Level finger’s worth of white foamy head sat atop and fell off fairly slow. Mild messy lace.
The aroma had some slight grassy to herbal hops, good level of caramel/toffee malts, light earthiness, some leather and a little bit of floral qualities at the end.
The flavor yielded towards the herbal/floral/grassy blend up front, somewhat sweet but not too much. Aftertaste was malty with the herbal qualities making a good presence. Finish was malty.
The palate was about medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fairly low. ABV felt as projected by the brewer.
Overall, thanks Tim, and this was a pretty good Irish red ale that I would have again.

Thanks Mike.
Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a deep dark brown color with a thin white foamy head that trickled off at a decent pace. Some light sliding spider web lace.
The aroma had some roasted malts, light smoke, little bit of chipotle heat, some tobacco, earthiness and some sweet wood.
The flavor seemed to balance well between the roast, smoke and chipotle heat as it playfully blended on into the aftertaste and finish.
The palate was about medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty good spicy porter that I could have again if I could get it.

Thanks Mike.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy/cloudy golden color with a two finger white foamy head that softened to a glaze of stringy lace.
The aroma had some lemon to orange pulpy sweetness, light floral hops, some toast and a little bit of biscuits.
The flavor was somewhat sweet with a touch of bitter and a clean hoppy to malty aftertaste and finish.
The palate was medium bodied with a fairly smooth touch to my tongue. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt fine.
Overall, pretty good AIPA worthy of trying again.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a semi-transparent dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Slight messy sliding lace.
The aroma had sweet and toasted nuts up front with an ample amount of caramel/toffee malts Light earthiness on the back end.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a good toastiness coming about. Light earthy to nutty aftertaste. Sly nutty to toasty finish.
The palate was almost medium bodied, sitting just a touch under with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, pretty good brown ale worthy of coming back to.
