(473ml can from the brewery) Pours very hazy orange-gold with a decent white head and heavy lace. Aroma of ripe mango, lemon/lime peel and a little sweet curd, white grape, some grass, oaty malt. Flavour is off-dry, green mango and lemon-lime, quite white wine-like, a little green gooseberry acidity, softly grassy, touch of Azacca resins but not too strong, nice lemon-lime peel into the finish with white grape and leafy freshness, soft oat malt vibes, quite low bitterness, mineral and crisp. Medium-bodied, oily, softly carbonated. Not a huge Azacca fan but nice to have it blended with some smooth southern hemisphere hops to produce a vinous, not-overly-sweet DIPA.

Poured from 473mL can (thanks Derek & JF; date stamped Oct 03, 2023; #139). Quite hazy yellow with small white head. Subtle grainy buckwheat honey quality, dank stone and tropical fruit hops, comes together nicely.

(946ml crowler from the brewery) Pours opaque slightly creamy mauve with a loose bubbly lavender head and some fine fruit pulp 'lace'. Aroma of Rubus berries with a bit of bright raspberry acidity, but more on the deeper earthier blackberry tip with blueberry feeding in, quite prominent graham cracker, a little floral vanilla. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and light tart, lead by the blend of berries expected, again with a little raspberry brightness over top of the deeper earthier dark berries, graham quite prominent from middle of sip to finish, soft floral vanilla, maple isn't really obvious and it certainly isn't cloyingly sweet. Finish is dominated by graham cracker with blackberry and light tannin, a little lactic yoghurty feeling as well, slighlty dry into the finish with the cracker being a little powdery. Medium-full mouthfeel for style, lightly creamy, below average carbonation, some berry pips and a slight grittiness from the crackers that could have been smoothed out. Fun graham and berry concotion, not overly sweet for a pastry smoothie, the nature of the cracker harms the texture a bit but the flavour is top notch.

(473ml can from the brewery) Pours very lightly hazed deep gold with a decent white head showing retention without lace. Aroma is tangerine as expected, citrus zest and pith, some ripe and slighly funky mango, a little catty pineapple vibes (El Dorado?). Flavour is nearly dry and a touch acidic from the dominant tangerine pulp, light but present citrus pith, light sweet mango, retiring malt backbone, touches of resinous El Dorado into the finish without hop burn, finish is tangerine pulp and a little citrus zest. Light bodied, a touch watery for the ABV, above average slightly fizzy carb. Nice fruit component, enjoyable, refreshing, a little light overall however.

(473ml can from the brewery) Pours very hazy medium yellow with a decent white head that has some retention and spotty lace. Aroma of fuzzy peach, lime zest, Sprite, passionfruit, some musky dank Riwaka backbeats. Flavour is fairly dry and bright, lots of lime, underripe peach, passionfruit florals, citrus pith, crackery cereals, touch of honeyed sweetness but not much, finish is lime and grapefruit with touches of honey florals, light Riwaka dankness, pithy, low bitterness, touch of peppery hop burn in the aftertaste but well-balanced. Mouthfeel is light, a touch watery, above average carbonation. Nice hop profile on this one but it's a bit too light in mouthfeel and concentration, and drinks more like an APA.

(On tap @ the brewpub, Oct 24/23) Pours rather hazy bright yellow-gold with a decent white head and spotty lace. Aroma is bright and citrus-forward, lots of meyer lemon and lime zest, pale citrus pulp, leafy dankness, pine hits, a little sweet tropical fruit in behind, clean yeast. Flavour is lightly sweet at best, bright and crisp pale citrus, lemon-lime axis with some grapefruit, soft peach, fresh pine, a touch of cannabis, drying finish with light to moderate citrus peel and pine resin bitterness with some minerality (overcarb). Light body, above average carbonation, touch watery. Like the hop profile here a lot, a little bit missing in mouthfeel but the flavours are great.

(On tap @ the brewpub, Oct 24/23) Pours very hazy orange-gold with a thick eggshell head and some lace. Aroma is strongly of canned fruit cocktail, featuring pineapple and peach with sweet orange, some perfumed floral notes, smooth fruity yeast and brioche malt. Flavour is again fairly sweet up front with a lot of canned pineapple and peach, sweet orange, candied cherries, ripe mango, brioche, finishing off-dry with fairly light herbal leafy bitterness. Medium-plus body, very oily, average carbonation. Good but a little too deep into the canned fruit for me, felt rather rich for 6.7% but also a touch cloying.

(On tap @ the brewpub, Oct 24/23) Pours deep gold with a decent and stable white head with some lace. Aroma is really driven by dried apricot, that almost funky/sulphurous pungency it has clearly present, dried mango as well, herbal accents, soft malt. Flavour follows the nose in that it's driven heavily by the dried fruit, sugary in perception but not overly sweet, again the certain funkiness that the two dried fruits use, some peachy sweetness, touch of acidity from the apricot, herbal accents, a bit earthy, soft malt, finish is very low-bitterness, off-dry, touch of fruity tang. Medium-bodied, oily to creamy, soft carbonation. Fairly unique for a fruited IPA in the extent to which it really communicates dried fruit, making it a touch funky and wild in impression. Cool stuff.

Can: Poured a clear pale yellow color lager with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal notes with some light sugar notes and lemony dry hoppy notes. Taste is also a mix of cereal notes with some lemony dry hoppy notes with some faint residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Refreshing lager with good drinkability and nice use of NZ hops.
