(473ml can from the brewery) Pours opaque medium yellow with a thick stable white head and good lace. Aroma of mango, passionfruit, pear, pineapple, red berries, tropial-ish fruit bitters, citrus pith, light dankness. Flavour is high on passionfruit and guava, bitter/astringent pear, not-quite citrus, light doughy malt, long on this sort of weird soapy floral vibe that I'm 99% sure is the Kohia Nelson because it's got this powderized fruit character to it. Finish is bone dry, fruit skins, underripe tropical fruit, aforementioned weird soapy stuff, odd bitter/astringent aftertaste. Light to medium body, below average carbonation. Nice fruit character up front but the mid-sip to finish character of Kohia Nelson seems to be messing things up. I know this isn't a super fresh can and may be slightly out of balance, but I think this may be a problematic hop product.

0,473l can from Ales & Brews online store. Canned 14/03/23, if I read it correctly. Over 5 months old stuff. Murky yellow beer with medium, stable and bit cloudy head. Aroma has hops, dank, malts and juicy fruitiness. Flavor has fruity notes, stone fruits, melon, some malts and only very small bitterness. Soft carbonation, medium body. Bit lame, might be just too old. Can't find the wheat.

(On tap @ the brewpub, July 7/23) Pours opaque medium purple with a thick mauve head and some thick pulpy 'lace'. Notes of ripe banana and blueberry compote, creamy softly floral and moderately sweet vanilla, very soft tannins from the blueberry just to ground the sweetness, long fruity banana/blueberry aftertaste. Super-thick and creamy mouthfeel with very soft carbonation. Probably the best smoothie so far from Nano Cinco and that's saying something. The blueberry shockingly stood up better to the banana than most of the other pairings with it have, despite often being a retiring fruit.

(On tap @ the brewpub, July 7/23) Pours basically black with a fairly thick medium brown head and some spotty lace. Notes of deeply roasted and lightly burnt grains, dark caramel with a touch of molasses, semi-sweet cacao, light coffee, moderately sweet up front but finishes nearly dry with some soft earthy bitterness, tobacco, a little nutty toasted grain, a little spent coffee and basically no roast acidity. Full-bodied, oily to creamy, softly carbonated, excellent texture for only 9% ABV, alcohol basically hidden. Super basic imperial stout that would be a good base for adjuncts or barrels.

(On tap @ the brewpub, July 7/23) Pours fairly hazy dull pale orange with a decent whitish head. Notes of floral grapefruit, orange, apricot, potpourri, grapefruit zest, softly sweet biscuit malt, finish is moderately resinous grapefruit with pine and herbs. Hop profile is light on the whole. Light to medium bodied, softly carbonated, touch slick. Decent but rather less concentrated and lively than most of their IPAs.

(473ml can from the brewpub) Pours fairly hazy medium yellow with a thin white head and some lace. Notes of pulpy orange, semi-ripe mango, papaya, melon, lemon-lime peel, soft and fairly dry malt body with a little bit of cereal character, dry finish with melon, floral and herbal accents, mixed citrus peels, touch of hop burn. Light to medium body, soft carbonation, touch watery. Nice exploration of some hops I'm not used to or overly enamoured of (save Motueka) but which come together in a soild IPA.

Hazy, pale golden color and a creamy white head. Lots of overripe tropical fruits like mango, pineapple and papaya in the nose. Smoorth and juicy. Fruity bitterness. Nice.
