22oz bomber split at a tasting. Brewed in 2008, consumed in 2011, holds up well. Thick specialty malt tones. Quite roasty, solid chocolate coffee tastes. Slightly oily. Some warm alcohol laced toffee in the finish.

Bottle. Pours reddish amber with tan head. Nose and taste of sweet caramel candy, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon and spicy hops. Great spice balance. Medium body.

Perfectly on style, rude and nasty. Bottle. When I opened this, it made a fuming aroma spread all across the room. No head. Dull IPA but it looks like a pale lager. As expected, ther is a roto-tiller plowing in a place someplace in my mouth. What else can be said? Finish is a little more creamy than most ipa.

expecting some sort of barley wine. Had this on tap at Willards Tap House in largo fla. Fairly clear, Nice clean attractive aroma. Initial flavor are spicey or sumthin and comes across rather creamy on the co2. Bitter alky builds thru the session. Medicinal finish.

Had this on tap at Willards Tap House in largo fla. Sightly cloudy brown with a nice clean smell. Starts off on the buds mild but gets a little beefy as the session continues. A bit medicinal on the finish. Not too much co2 detectable in this brew.

Pours deep reddish gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Spicy caramel aromas. Slightly smoky with caramel upfront turning to mild resin in the dry, lasting finish.

Light barley malt nose. Clear amber, medium head, good lacing. Weak barley malt flavor. Medium body. Nothing offensive, macros intensity. Boring. One of the weaker octoberfests.

A dark clear brown porter with a thin brown head. In aroma, a smooth capuccino coffee with light herbal notes. In mouth, a smooth sweet chocolate with coffee grinds, milkey, a bit cloying. On tap at Knoxville Brewer’s Jam, Oct. 22 2011.

Clear, slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish creamy white head. Aroma of slightly skunky malt, light citrus, some yeast, a touch of bananas and a bit of sweetness - nothing too nice. Light- bodied; Pungent herbal and bitter malt notes with very little else going on - a touch of yeast perhaps. Aftertaste has some mild spices, a little malt and almost nothing else - mild. Overall, not such a great beer, but not horribly offensive either. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 09-October-2011 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 15-October-2011.
