Gravity cask at the Wandsworth Common London Beer Festival July 2013 - Le Gothique. Pours clear yellow with a creamy white head. Light grass and pale malts in the aroma. Light to medium sweet flavor with semi-dry pale malts, dry hay, grassy bitterness, dry lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish with further dried pale malts and dried lemon, faint grass and pine needles. Not bad.

Gravity cask at the Strongroom London beer fest. Pours clear, yellow gold with a mild, frothy white cap. Doughy pale malt nose, hints of hay. Light sweet flavor, more doughy malts, white bred, light straw bitterness, hints of lemon and cereal. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry and butter to finish, further simple sweet and doughy malts. Simple and drinkable golden ale.

Cask at the Union Tavern - London. Pours brown with a fine, tan cream head. Tangy dark malts abound, some mild roast, hints of dark fruits, mild cocoa. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Burnt sugars to finish, more tangy dark malts, some chocolate. Fair but nothing special.

Cask at The Speaker. It pours golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is hay, floral, biscuit and light citrus. The taste is light, floral, crisp bitterness, pithy citrus and biscuit with a dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. A pleasant, quaffable golden.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW - London. Pours dark, red-brown with a soft, fading tan foam head. Nose holds some burnt malts, toasty caramel, light cocoa. Light sweet flavor, more toasty and almost burnt malts but without the charred malt bitterness, some lightly sweet cocoa, hints of nicely toasted sugars. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Moderately sweet finish, some faintly tangy dark fruits, mild chocolate, well toasted bready malts. There is no explicit honey character here, but perhaps it parts the somewhat strong (strong for a mild, at least) sugariness that is in this beer. Anyway, it is a very tasty beer overall.
