This was poured into a weizen glass and a pint glass at separate times.
The only difference is the larger head in the weizen.
The appearance was a cloudy golden yellow with tinges of orange operating around the edges of the beer.
The smell had a sour blend of banana and clove. For all of the times I’ve had this, I always want to say that there is something different about the banana in this one, like it’s fake or something.
The taste was mainly tart through the banana and clove.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was semi - sharp.
Overall, in my opinion, this is not a very good hefeweizen to me at all.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass every time.
The appearance had a golden yellow semi - clear body with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds leaving no lacing left in the wake.
The smell was grainy and cereal - like with a little bit of toasted - ness to it.
The taste was mainly sweet through the cereal/toastiness/graininess.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation was okay for the style and for me.
Overall honestly, the smell and taste tend to be a little weak so this ended up being a blonde ale I didn’t frequent too often when I lived in Maine.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a snifter, a tulip and a chalice several times when I lived in Maine. It always looks, smells and tastes the same.
The appearance was a gentle hazy semi - dark red color with some light orange highlights tinting the sides of the glass. The head was small and quickly dissipated within less than thirty seconds. The lacing was kinda messy.
The smell had some broken or separated aroma of bitter to sweet oranges, tangerines and grapefruits. No matter how many times I’ve ever had this, I could never say \"bittersweet\" as an adjective to directly describe the full content of the entire aroma.
The taste was basically the same.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed to be scaled back than most DIPA’s I’ve had.
Overall, I always have thought that there were better DIPA’s on the market when I first had this and continue to stick with this statement.

Bottle from Harvest Market Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a huge frothy beige head that slowly dissipates. Aromas of earthy spice pine and just a hint of mint from the hops with a bit of caramel land brown bread from the malts. The flavor is sweet with malty bread and caramel and just a touch of earthy herbal hop flavor and a touch of bitterness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Decent enough summer brew, the aroma is quite nice, but the flavor was a bit maltier than the aroma suggested and a little on the heavy side for either a session ale or a summer ale.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass every time I’ve had it.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt amber to red/ brown color with a one finger white foamy head that left some light foamy lacing coating the top of the glass.
The smell had mainly some burnt caramel malts up front with a fairly light citrus hops really lightly in the background.
The taste was somewhat sweet through the mixture of hops and the malts.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good as there’s nothing wrong with it, there’s not exactly everything right with it.
Overall, this was not a bad beer, but probably not one of the better ones of its style.

Just found the notes to this.
This was poured into a pint glass from a 22 oz bottle.
The appearance was a nice hazy golden yellow to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light foamy lacing that trickled down the sides of the glass.
The smell had a nice blend of sweet citrus and piney and grapefruit hops over top of some light sweet caramel malts.
The taste was mainly sweet through all of the previously mentioned flavors that ended up leading to a fairly decent dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat sharp but not overbearing at times. It almost wanted to go the extra distance of pounding my tongue into submission but it didn’t.
Overall, well, hey uh...I’ll have it again. Nothing wrong with this one.

Old notes. This is not this year’s edition (2012 edition), sorry for only finding the notes now.
At the brewpub in South Portland, Maine.
This was poured into a snifter, uh...ok, I guess I’m not going to argue but it’s just a fruit beer, well here’s the rest.
The appearance was a nice hazy dark brown close to light purple tinges along the sides of the glass. There’s a decent light sliding lacing trickling down the sides of the glass.
The smell had the blueberry obviously up front. It comes in fairly hard with a nice drive of some light malts to back it all up.
The taste was mainly sweet through the blueberry and the malts. It leaves a decent sweet sticky blueberry aftertaste and a super refreshing finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was mainly subdued and lets the blueberry just coat my mouth and tongue.
Overall, this was a pretty good beer to have as a dessert on late Summer in the evening. I actually remember buying at least 3 bombers of this to have on Sebago Lake just to watch the Sun go down with my ol’ hound dog curled up by ma feet at the ol’ lake house.

10 oz. snifter @ Portsmouth Gas Light Co. Deep Crimson color with slow diminishing head. Aroma is pretty nice, light bourbon on top of brown sugar, vanilla and alcohol soaked raisins.
The taste is sweet, boozy and decadent. Bourbon nauances sitting on top vinous notes, vanilla bean, and oak tannins with a syrupy texture. A bit of chocolate hints in the backend as it warms. Medium body with a sweet and woody /oaky finish. Nice light warming sensation after the sip. The Gas Light Co. is really stepping up their tap list in a big way, lots of solid offering on the Street level! This was a treat to get without having to drive to Portland.

The appearance has a brown/orange colored body with a one finger white foamy head that takes a good minute before slowly dieing. Some nice speckled spider-web lacing leads gently into the body. Some light carbonation is seen rising.
The smell is sweet with some light hops entering in with a bit of pine and citrus.
The taste is sweet, once again, but the hops are fairly strong with a mild citrus taste.
The palate is about a light to medium with nothing harsh on the tongue, sessionable.
Overall, out of all Sebago’s offerings, this is probably my all time favorite brew by them.
