Can: Poured a hazy bright yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some excellent lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops notes with light mango and tropical fruit notes is quite enticing. Taste is a mix of citrusy hops notes with some mango and other tropical fruit notes with some distinguishable residual sugar notes with nice floral undertones. Body is full with good carbonation. Excellent double IPA that hopefully will see the light of day as a regular offering. My only complaint is maybe there is a tad too much residual sugar notes.

Canette 473ml. Couleur orange opaque, mousse blanc cassé onctueuse. Arôme de pomélo, houblon résineux, écorce d'orange, tangelo. Goût de pomélo, houblon résineux, malt, plutôt sucré, amertume moyenne. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen-dense. Loin d'être mauvaise, mais trop de sucre et manque d'amertume font qu'elle est moins plaisante à boire que l'IPA du Nord-Est.

Can from KBL. Big, juicy NE nose or orange, peaches, apricots, honey. Cloudy, appetizing deep gold. Great balance, fruity, juicy, orange, grainy wheat, stone fruit, tropical. Nice peppery finish with just the right amount of bitterness. Top notch NE IPA.

Bottle: Poured a translucid copper color ale with a nice off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry caramelized malt notes with clean cereal notes is quite enticing. Taste is also a mix of dry caramelized malt notes with light residual sugar notes with some clean cereal notes. Body is a bit thin for style with good carbonation. Easy drinking version of the style but well balanced overall.
Earlier Rating: 6/20/2014 Total Score: 3.6
Draft: Poured clear amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with light retention. Aroma of lightly sweet caramelized sugar with subtle toffee notes is actually quite pleasant. Taste is also dominated by sweet caramelized sugar notes with some subtle toffee notes with a light cereal finish. Body is light with good carbonation. Definitely not the most complex example of the style but still enjoyable and super high drinkability.
