Bottle, Majestic, Bicester, 23-12-06 in a St Peters mixed pack of four different dark beers. Poured pretty much black, some bitter chocolate aroma’s, taste was a little more restrained chocolate becoming more milk chocolatey but there were some coffee hints in a decent stout.

Bottle, Majestic, Bicester, 23-12-06 in a St Peters mixed pack of four different dark beers.Pours a reddy brown colour with the most incredible honey aroma, far more honey than in any other honey style beer that I’ve ever encountered if there are any faults in this Dept’ I suppose it is that the aroma is just a tad overpowering, but I liked it. flavour once again is a full frontal honey assault, or is that that nose still tricking the tastebuds? Regardless I rather liked this beer despite the one dimensional aspect.

Bottle, Majestic, Bicester, 23-12-06 in a St Peters mixed pack of four different dark beers . Dark reddy/brown some smokiness on the nose with malty sweetness. Taste was quite intriguing, some roasted notes, bitterness and even a touch of liquorice bouncing around, not the best porter I’ve ever had, but even so not a bad one by any stretch, good! A6 A3 F7 P3 Ov13 3.2 Had this again in bottle (can’t remember where from) Consumed in bottle 23-07-09 Pours conker brown with a light beige head. Tangy dark fruits combine with sweet malts . Re-rated as better than I recalled it being last time. A7 A3 F7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Bottle: Very dark ruby coloured, visible carbonation, lacing foamy layer; caramelly, dry roast-malty - almost a bit smoked - nose with a touch of molasses and ashes; drier bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; dry (roast-)malty and bitter finish with a tinge of coffee and fruitiness. Pleasant, but not an earth-quake......

Bottle: pours a clear chestnut colour with a beige head which disappears quickly; full in the mouth with a nutty caramel flavour leading to a pleasantly bitter aftertaste. An excellent bitter for its strength.

Bottle: pours a clear reddish chestnut colour with a caramel head and lots of lacing; aroma of port; sweet and malty in the mouth with touches of caramel and a gentle bitter aftertaste with hints of burnt caramel/

Oh man! Yuck!! One of the worst beers I’ve ever had - 2 sips, a 3rd sip for my wife just to confirm its awfulness (or maybe I just wanted someone to share in my suffering), and then down the drain! Not overly skunky in the aroma, but the flavor was pure dissolved skunk pheromone. Sulfur, vomit and hops. Sharp. I can’t comment much more than that, I didn’t feel obliged to analyze any deeper.

Bottled. Copperish golden colour with small white head. Hoppy and hayish aroma and flavour. Some slight fruity notes once it gets warmer. Not too exciting, and quite similar to many of their other products. Dry bitterness dominates the finish.

16.9 oz bottle. Poured black with thin brown head. The aroma is mostly cream soda with lesser amounts of roasted and burnt malts. The flavor starts off semi sweet with coffee, roasted malts, a sense of cream soda and the introduction to the burnt and chocolate malts that follow. The rest of the taste into the after-bit is a rather nice mixture of burnt and chocolate malts.
