Nice golden brew with a medium head. This is another of your average english ale with nice hops and a very refreshing taste. Nothing too distincitve about this one except that the bottle is pretty cool. I would drink this again but won't necessarly be looking for it.

Surprisingly good for a St. Peter's brew. Dark amber. Clean caramel notes lead off the aroma, followed by earth, nuts, toffee, dates, faint allspice & thyme. Full body shows alcohol; caramel and earth in its malts; hedgerows in its hops. Red currant esters abound. The finish is sweet with hints of Lyle's golden syrup, rich multigrain bread and dried wood hop notes. Long and earthy. There is a certain irony in this being a summer beer, considering that it is near double the size of your typical English beer, and so rich in character. Then again, summer in England can be awfully chilly and damp, as I found out last year (though at the time I was coming from non-stop 30+ C days and found the whole 14C and rainy thing refreshing - everyone else thought I was nuts for wearing shorts in such weather but I was in paradise). So in a way, this fits with a damp English summer day, but given that it's 19C at midnight, calling this a summer beer does seem a little ironic - I'd rather be drinking the Organic Ale right now. That said, this is easily one of the best of the St. Peter's range.

Dark amber color, thin head. Roasted malt aroma, light phenol, caramel, light Fernet Branca. Full mouth, dry, roasted malt character; quite malty; very light smokey touch, which boosts this good product. The very good roasted malt characterize the final, lasting really a lot. Would benefit of a better aroma.

Bottled. Dark amber with rich creamy head. Grassy aroma. Surprisingly malty for it's gravity. Soft mouthfeel and well balanced with nice, bitter finish.

Black color, creamy brown head.
Finally a stout with a complete aroma: hop, roasted malt, liquorice, coffee.
Rich flavor, good body structure, some residual sweetness in the beginning, soon defeated by a bold bitterness and liquorice; good malt, roasted malt, liquorice and hop.
Good final, supported by the roastiness and bitterness.
Pleasant brew, doesn't score more just because it lacks some originality; compared to one of my favourites dark ales (Henry London Porter), it has far less hop character.
Recommended for the harmony of the coffee character with the malt.

Tan, hazy. Earthy, pithy bitterness, lightly toasted malts, nuts, dry finish. The dryness being the dominant trait, the palate fares much better than the aroma, which is marked only by a slight Goldings note and faint whiff of pale malt.

An amber colored porter? Ah, it tastes like they diluted a porter with dishwater; THAT explains the color. Way too much hops. They linger, unpleasantly, on my tongue, like thrush, only I can''t scrape it off. I think I''m going to go rinse my mouth out.

This beer comes in a really neat bottle. It it flat and green and looks like a small liquor bottle. Amber colored and very bubbly with a thin off-white head. Nice hops aroma. The flavor was very weird. It was a mixture of pine, medicine, and alcohol and I honestly had trouble enjoying it.
