Cask @ Wetherspoon’s Piccadilly, formerly the Manchester & County, Manchester. Golden ale with a small head. Crisp and sessionable with a very easy-drinking texture. It’s mildly hoppy in its nose with some fruit evident, more neutral in taste.

Cask at the Lord Moon of the Mall, JDW - London: pours clear copper-gold with a frothy, off-white head. Bready malts in the nose, faint leather, earth, berries. Light to medium sweet flavor with further ripening berries, hints of toasted toffee, toasted grains, light caramel, earthy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; pretty good carbonation. Finishes with pretty OK balance, more rich malt character, faint leathery dryness, more berries, cherry, mellow plum, brown bread, dry toffee. Nice and drinkable ESB.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 24/2/2016. Deep copper in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Sweetish, berry fruit and brown sugar aroma, with a touch of citrus hop. Flavour had some sweet malts, more fruits and a gentle finish. Fine.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 13/10/2015. Deep gold in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Citrus fruit notes upfront, some grainy malts and a bitterness that became more pronounced throughout. Fine.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Not at all what I was expecting - this doesn’t look or taste in the slightest way autumnal.
It’s a slightly hazy straw coloured pour with a scummy looking white head; the aroma is aromatic, but I can’t quite nail it down; they taste is rich, sweet and malty, but again with an odd, undefinable aromatic quality; followed by a somewhat earthy finish.

Tried at the White Bear, Tewkesbury. Hazy pale amber colour with a white head. Aroma is a touch dusty, the taste very dry and refreshing.

Cask at the beer emporium. Bristol. Clear light yellow / golden coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is grain husks, little stale, tea leaves, honey. Flavour is composed of semi sweet malts, light hedgerow berry. Palate is light , lowish carbonation, light grainy. Not a huge fan. A bit bland.
