Draught @ Festival of Dankness, San Diego. Aroma is somewhat malty with resin and tropical fruits. Flavour has grapefruit, tropical fruits, some minerals and mild harsh bitterness. Decent but nothing special.

I like the theme of this brewery’s beer labels/names. 22oz bomber pours with a clear pure gold body that supports a dull white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up a sampling of citrus hops as well as inviting hoppy spicy onion dankness. The taste delivers a pleasing fresh hoppy mix of spicy onion dank hops, bitter tangerine, grapefruit and clementine citrus hops. Just behind the hop bitterness resides a thin river of citrus and slightly mango like fruity juiciness. Yum. This conjures up a tasty balance of bitter, spicy and juicy hops on top of a supportive thin sweet malty base. Nice.

Nose is dank fruit, apricot, spices, light brett, apricot, spices,… Taste is dark fruit, dough, sweetish candy, lemon, dough, light brett, too sweet & not enough complexity but quite decent still. A bit yeasty body.

Thanks to ElManana + 1! Bottle sampled @ “Hot & Sweaty RBBSG 2015”. Waxed! Black with basically no head. Nose is huge molasses, candy, sugar, light spirit, quite sweet & molasses rich. Taste is huge barrel, spirit, bourbon, light odd plant-like note, dash plastic but overall very nice with big molasses, bourbon, vanilla, light herbs, candy & brown sugar vanilla sweetness,… Big sticky bourbon body. Some slight odd flourishes but overall very nice.

Cloudy blond beer, small creamy irregular off-white head, unstable, non adhesive, falls down quickly. Aroma: very fruity, lots of banana, peaches, bit funky, brett notes. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very fruity, peaches, funky, little bitter, fruity, sour notes. Aftertaste: slightly hoppy, citrus, grassy, funky touch. Not a saison in any sense. Saison isn't about adding some brett to your beer, 'Murica!
