Sampled at Uiltje Bar’s Anniversary, 2017. Dark brown pour with a very thin tan head. Notes of walnuts, pecan nuts, caramel, dried sweet fruit, vanilla, brownies, chocolate muffins, a bit of mouldy cellar, rum, sherry. Wow, I did not expect a Baltic porter to taste like this. Smooth oily texture, low carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Byzantine Vision on 18 Feb 2017 at 13:26 - Score: 9

Bottle shared, big thanks to RandomStrangerNL! Black with a small and very short lived tan head. Aroma of massive vanilla, bourbon, oak barrel, fudge, milk chocolate, boozy bourbon but in a good way, like a box of sweet milk chocolates, it’s pretty damn amazing. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied though without that thick a texture, with warming alcohol and soft carbonation. Really lovely!

Bottle shared by a kind american. Dark caramel pour with a thin tan head. Tons of caramel, bourbon, vanilla, alcohol, toasted coconut, booze. Not bad but a bit too boozy. Also a bit too light bodied for an imperial stout of this calibre.

500 ml bottle. I’m not sure if got shaken or something, but the bottle gushed a whole bunch upon opening. I’m not really getting any clear infection flavors, so it’s probably nothing. Black beer with a brown head. Moderate barrel character. Lots of fudgey dark chocolate. Mild roast. Sweet caramel. Moderate vanilla. Coffee and chiles are both on the milder side. Pretty sweet. Barrel is still light up front but picks up a bunch in the finish with some spice - cinnamon, pepper - and fruity tequila flavor. Very nice chile burn. Again, not too much coffee. Pretty good hit of vanilla in there. Little booziness. Full, creamy feel. I liked this one more than expected. Tasty mix of flavors, nothing is too intense. Very easy to drink.

Bomber to tulip. Pours a mostly clear copper with moderate off-white head. Massively cloying malt overpowers all of this beer. I love this hop profile but I get almost none of it. Could really stand to attenuate out a lot more of the sugars.

Bottle poured into a taster showing pitch black with no head. The nose show sweet and roasted malts. The palate is full bodied and lightly carbonated. Flavors of light oak with a mid-palate of roasted malts, dark chocolate and a light alcoholic spice. Moderate roasted malt bitterness on the end.
