Pours a dark amber colour with a small off white head. Not much of an aroma, some bread but that?s about it. Not much flavour either, a little caramel some breadiness but watery and not a lot in the finish either. Disappointing.

Aroma of very light fruits, very little on nose
Taste of soft fruits, dab of citrus, light flavours, hint of cereal, quite pleasant
Palate - Medium body, soft bitter. Finish as main flavour, light bitter, dab of cereal in the linger
Overall - Simple pale ale, simple flavours, nothing wrong with it. OK..

Cask half-pint at The Crown Inn, Oakengates Shropshire on 6th Apr 2017. Amber bodied, wispy white topping. Decent blend with a good balance between the piney hops and semi-sweet malts: easy drinking beer that doesn’t really test your taste buds to greatly, but I liked it.

Pours a clear red brown colour with a small beige head. Bready malt, and caramel aroma. A similar bready malt taste, some light caramel sweetness and berry fruit flavours. A moderate herby bitter finish.

Bottle, source not recalled. Poured clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, lightly roasted, moderate hop, with floral and fruity notes. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask (backlog). Amber colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is toffee, some nutty notes as well as some wooden and resiny notes. Flavour is crisp toffeeish and nutty malts with a toasted edge to it as well as some wooden, slight resiny and floral notes. Nice mellow bitterness in the finish. Thirstquencher and easy to drink. Pleasant session beer.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - amber with a decent thin head. Nose - fudge and general confected notes. Taste - more fudge, something approaching but not reaching marzipan. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy/tangy texture. Some dry but sweet finish. Overall - good beer.

Cask at the Green Man, JDW - London. Pours clear honey-gold with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds some toasted malts, brown bread and light caramel. Light to medium sweet flavour with notes of graham crackers, toffee, more brown bread, ripe berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. OK balance in the finish, with more toasty bread, minimal bitterness, ripening fruits. Enjoyable.
