500ml bottle from Morrisons. Pours clear copper, thin, short-lived head. Aromas of over-ripe fruit and dishwater. Taste is metallic and sweaty. Unpleasant, astringent finish. Pretty grim.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Pours pale gold, thick white head. Aromas of cornflakes and sugar. Taste is metallic and sweet. Medium body, sweet finish. Could be worse.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Pours clear golden amber, thick white head. Aromas has sulphur and mineral notes, floral hops and sugar. Taste is bitter, more sulphur, doesn’t come together well. Separate sweetness at the end. Not great.

Bottle from Morrisons, Manchester. Deep amber with a small head. More like a bitter than an amber ale with some grain involved in its taste and a mild sweetness in both aroma and taste and pleasant enough.

Bottle from Morrisons, Todmorden. Golden with a small bubbly head. Has a very light hop but is more crisp and refreshing in its character than anything else.

Bottle from Morrisons, Salford. Deep red colour with a very thin head. Has a fruit infused malt aroma and taste that’s a touch sugary.

Bottle from Morrisons, Salford. Golden with a disappearing frothy head. Its strength is immediately evident, and whilst there’s some pale ale texture, it does not have much flavour or character. Slightly floral nose.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s post GBBF minidig, 16/08/14. Clear golden with moderate off white spotting and edgeing. Nose is pale malt, sweet notes, light fart, faint orange, bready. Taste comprises malt, light orange, citric peel, bready. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation with a tickle of spritz, semi drying close with light bitterness. Dull - pass !
